Just back from short break at the Hotel Cristal. Room at front of hotel was noisy but slept great because we were so tired there is so much to see in Munich. The room itself was fabulous, beds great and bathroom spotless. Room service was excellent and breakfast great. If your using the U bahn make sure to get a... more

We booked via one of the usual booking sites and were assigned a street front room as we were told an inner "comfort" room would cost an extra10 euro per person per night. It was noisy and hot (there's no air con) and we couldn't wait to get out! So we changed and had to pay the extra 20 euro... more

This hotel is centrally and conveniently located. It is very close to Altstadt (Old Town) and central railway station. Rooms are comfortable. They may feel a bit noisy if you get a room facing the road. However it is ok if you do not open the window. Air conditiner works. Breakfast is very good. But the breakfast room is small.... more

The hotel itself is straight out of the 80's, but to be fair it's clean. The rooms are super basic, but again clean. They must be very eager to clean because not one time, but three times the maid entered the room while knocking and was surprised that we were unable to respond to the knock that came after the... more

Very easy walk from train station, but has an adjacent garage if you have a car. We had an off the street room, so it was very quiet. Breakfast buffet was wonderful as others have noted. The fresh orange juice was a real treat and it was nice to have a variety of papers, including English language, to read. We... more

I'd like to update a fairly negative review I gave a year ago when I complained about rooms being too warm and street noise. I stayed at the hotel again recently - booked by a friend with some misgivings on my part - and was given a courtyard room at the rear of the hotel. The corridors were light, airy... more

Stayed here for three nights as part of Air Transat package. The rooms are quite large but there is no air conditioning, fans only. The weather was quite cool so this didn't cause us a problem. Our first room was on the street side (it is very noisey with the windows open) so we asked if we could be moved.... more

I stayed for 2 nights in late June. Hotel is centrally located very close (one block) from Banhoff (main train station), from where trains and subway depart everywhere, including airport which is 40 km away. Neighborhood is not very good but totally safe day and night. Munich is a very safe city. Rooms are big enough for european standards, those... more

We only stayed here for one night during a quick visit but would recommend to others. We had a triple room that was on the first floor so a bit noisy, but it was clean and spacious. The service was good especially at breakfast which also had one of the best selections I have ever experienced. Car parking was 14... more
