When the priceline result came back with this 4* hotel, we were uncertain about it. This was the first time we were offered a non-US chain hotel. Once we arrived and checked in, our worries went away. The hotel is steps away from the central station which is extremely convenient to go anywhere and to have a meal. At the... more

The hotel is located in the train station area which is safe and extremely convenient walking distance to everything; Marienplatz (10 min), English Garden (20 min), etc. Disregard the reviews that talk about the sex shops and strip clubs, yes they are on the street but unless you are interested in going in just ignore them. The staff were all... more

I was there during Oktoberfest and I must say that it is very close to Marienplatz and 10 min on foot to the fest. I paid 292 € per night (b.i), it is huge expensive if you look the hotel (4 star, 3 star I `d say), the oktoberfest is not a excuse to charge this fee. The room was... more

A few steps to the main railway station, near other large hotels like the Sofitel etc. Like in most European metropolis the area around the railway station can be busy and parts of it can also be a bit seedy, on the plus side everything is within easy transport reach of course. A smallish lobby leads to the bar, which... more

This was the third time that we have stayed at the Maritim - as a base to visit several Christmas markets. The hotel is two minutes from the main station and, although the area is somewhat poor, the treatment by the staff more than makes up for that. An e-mail to the hotel, requesting bookings to be made at well... more

My room was only 165 Euro but I was upgraded to a suite (I didn't know this until I stepped into my room...!). So naturally I am very happy with this hotel! Clean, comfortable room and bathroom. Great staff - all reception staff spoke English also. The lunch buffet was lovely with attentive staff. Location is great - cross the... more

i've been there for a week sharing a twin room with my co-worker. Good points: the room was spacious with 2 chairs and a small table, the location close to the station and walking distance from the very centre, the bed very comfortable, bathroom nice and spacious. Bad points: i didn't like the furniture (quite dated... '70s style). we had... more

Good hotel, but location is terrible - it is in the area of main train station. If we ever come back to Munich, we would never stay in that area again. Besides that it is seedy (sex shops on every corner), it is like a little Istambul. I have no problem with turkish people, but I was not going to... more

In looking at the publicity for the hotel, I did wonder why it was not located on the streetfront - given the general location (which is pretty seedy), this is understandable but it was good that it was only a couple of minutes away from Munich Hauptbahnhof. The hotel facilities were good on the whole - nice spaced rooms but... more

The hotel was really nice and the rooms where big. If you like to have a big bed we went with the twins, they where put together anyways and made a nice size bed. We where not sure how big the double would be. We had a couch and chair and table and chairs in our room, so that will... more
