To summarize: very discourteous, unflexible, and utterly unhelpful staff. Like the inspiration for the show Faulty Towers, the owners don't seem very interested in hospotality and are rather inconvenienced by having bothersome guests in their space. First we showed up at night after some delays, and Hoenschwangau is completely shut down with no place to eat. They made sure to... More

The good Great view of Neuschawnstien, if you pay the extra for the view. Pretty good breakfast. Very close Neuschawnstien. Pretty easy to find. The bad Bugs in our room. Hundreds of little gnat like bugs. No elevator No staff to help with bags Staff is sort of friendly. Most of the rooms share a toilet at the end of... More

It was 7 pm & dark when we arrived here, we had made no contact at all as we had no phone, but when we buzzed at the door it was opened up by a friendly lady who said come in, she had little English but showed us a card with prices for the rooms, she then showed us room... More

Our train to Germany was help up by German immigration police due illegal immigrants. When we tried to arrange with them that we would be late (11pm) they basically told us that they would closed. We contacted them at 10pm (numerous calls) their phone simply went unanswered. We were now half an hour away. The Local Police in a nearby... More

We arrived this B&B around 4pm, and found the hotel entrance door was locked and nobody was inside. We waited for the owner to return for almost 2 hours, and finally she came back without explaining too much (because she doesn't speak English and we think she said she went out to buy breakfast for the next morning and there... The place is clean, small as any B&B type place in the German country, good breakfast and very convenient to visit castles, dine and walk or ride bike around area. Pros: free parking, breakfast, clean, walking distance to all attractions. Cons: host during check in doesn't speak English.

This place is close to ticket office that is about it (5 min walk). The room was outdated. The sheets felt like a huge towel. The breakfast was not good. The castle view from our room was quarter castle view. Payed more than a 3 star hotel. Will not reccomend.

The woman was barely civil when we checked in. The first document in my hand was not the 'reservation confirmation' form and she nearly closed the door on us. The correct item was attached so she nodded and we were able to check in. The room had water stained & dusty curtains, chipped paint, dirty balcony chairs and mismatched/cheap/broken furniture.... It is 2 KM from tickets center, even though castles look close from hotel, you still need to walk 40 minutes or take bus. First of all its B&B, house converted into hotel. Managed by a old lady. Old lady is not that courteous and whole staying does not have comfortable atmosphere. Not really understand english. Breakfast is really healthy... More

Although the B and B is due a refurb the stunning location and view from the balcony makes up for it. The rooms are basic but very clean. It's worth paying a bit extra for the better double room with bath. Very friendly hosts.
