Took our adult daughters and two grandsons to Germany for a week. We flew direct from Houston to Munich. Picked up our van and drove the hour on the autobahn to Garmisch-Parkenkirchen. I had spent time once before as a US Army Captain. Garmisch is in the Bavarian Alps of southern Germany and sits in a deep valley. We picked... More

This hotel is located on a charming street with a fantastic bakery right across the street. The lobby area is dark and full of heavy furniture. The staff were polite and efficient, but the rooms are around a courtyard with a pool, so you have to go outside to get to the rooms. No one at reception offered help in... More

Celebrating birthday in this hotel and it was just amazing, no complaints at all...the room was just perfect, the inhouse restaurant was (even though it was very bavarian) great with good food and super barkeeper and waiter, amazing breakfast ....one guy called frank is the funniest and kindest portier we've ever met ... If there is something to complain it... More

This hotel stands in the main street, it's a very quaint old town, quiet and pretty. At reception, we were greeted very professionally. We loved the rustic look of the hotel, at first. Parking was 5 euros a day in a car park at the back of the hotel, but you have to drive around the town to get there.... More

This is an olde worlde hotel on the main street in the old part of Partenkirchen. It's definitely atmospheric but I don't recommend it in the summer. The hotel has no air conditioning in the room. This necessitates having the windows wide open for air. The hotel was unable to supply a portable fan. Opposite is the local church -... More

Met a hiking group at Atlas Grand and stayed for two nights. I was a bit worried by what I had read on Trip Advisor and unfortunately, we had a poor experience. I understand that rooms in Europe can be small, however, the quality of the room was poor. The bedding was very thin and inexcusable for a hotel today.... More

Just got back from a wonderful family vacation in Europe. This was our last destination. Charming town. We loved the quaint and very Bavarian feel of the hotel too. Right on the main street. Gorgeous views of the Alps from our windows. We got two rooms. Both were large, comfortable, with balconies etc. And they were very reasonably priced. Totally... More

We stayed in this hotel in late June after visiting Linderhof and before leaving for Neuschwanstein the next day. The hotel is located between these two famous castles and is right in the middle section of Garmisch's old downtown. This is a very nice hotel in a quiet small town. From hotel you can easily walk both sides of the... More

Superb room, never been in such a large spacious room - very friendly helpful staff with a warm welcome , amazing choice for breakfast - with freshly squeezed orange juice, and wonderful wide choice of cheese and meat, and a wide variety of bread.
