The hotel is a family business, which provide all the services you need for 3 german stars. The rooms are beautiful and it's indicated to choose with a mountain view. The breakfast is charming and reposing. I recomand the hotel for it's location and services in the heart of a unique town Garmisch-Partenkirchen .
This is our second visit to this hotel and again we were not disapointed. The staff are warm and friendly and the decor of the rooms is in keeping the the area. Breakfast was good and wonderful views from our room.
We booked here because of the glowing reviews and were so disappointed that if they hadn't had a no-refund policy, we would have left. While the rooms are small... This is a clean and well kept guesthouse. You are likely to have a balcony which affords wonderful views of the Alps. Breakfast was spectacular, and the service very friendly and welcoming.
Spent four nights at the hotel and loved every single one. Extremely friendly and helpful owners plus a lovely traditional style room, comfy bed, and a balcony overlooking the stunning mountain ranges. 5 mins from the lively centre of Garmisch Partenkirchen yet wonderfully quiet. FREE wifi was an absolute godsend and worked very well. Breakfast was a delight to behold...

It was quiet at night with no traffic noise as there is a small one way street outside which is hardly used. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and gave us good traveling advise. Good breakfast. Hotel...

I stayed in nine different hotels in varying price brackets on my recent trip to Germany and this was the best one of all! Right from the start there's a genuine personal touch. Our room was charming - that's the only word for it, the wardrobe doors painted with little murals, a good size (not huge but better than many)...

My husband and I stayed at the Almenrausch und Edelweiss for three nights in September. The Hartl family were wonderful hosts and we really enjoyed our stay. They were very accomodating with early/late check-in and out. The location is fantastic with restaurants, shops and the train station all within easy walking distance. The rooms were nicely furnished and comfortable. We...
