We spent 3 nights at this hotel in September 2011, and found this to be an excellent hotel. We chose this hotel based on Rick Steves recommendation. Great location, super clean, and staff was very helpful and pleasant. Very good breakfast also. Great down conforters on the bed, super soft. Will definetely stay again.

The staff at Wittelsbach was very pleasant and accommodating. They also serve a traditional European breakfast (with eggs to order) and outstanding dinner menu. My two weeks were wonderful and I will stay there again when I return to Oberammergau. I highly recommend Hotel Wittelsbach!

Great place to stay. Spent 5 nights - would definitely stay there again. Staff friendly and helpful, rooms spotless and breakfast and supper at the restaurant were nice. They offer special rate for military.
