This is a lovely inn in a charming town. The rooms are clean but small and and typically furnished for a small town European inn (and I imagine the same way they were furnished 30 years ago). The breakfast is good with a nice selection. The hosts are cordial. The view from our room was beautiful. We would definitely stay... More

October 3 - 5, 2014 (during German Unification weekend, so very busy) Room 4 (a two twin bed room). We stayed previously in 2010 (room 6 - three beds and a tub in the bathroom) and 2011 (room 2 - 2 twins with a tub in the bathroom). This stay room 4 was miniscule, barely enough room to put one... We booked online for our trip to the 2010 Passion Play. We were not on a guided tour, but, by the time we were done, we'd had a far better experience than any tour could provide. We intentionally booked a small room - and it was small! - but, we were there to be out in the town, not in... More

Stayed here for two nights while touring Italy, Austria, Germany and Switzerland. We were looking for an inexpensive place ($97 USD per room) to stay while visiting the Neuschwanstein and surrounding castles and area. We and another couple stayed in their two smallest twin bed rooms. The rooms were clean but were very out of date and worn. The bathroom... More

We stayed for only night with halfboard. The food was delicious and absolutely recommendable. The rooms are oldfashioned but very Bavarian and cozy. We liked it very much. The staff is very friendly and kind. The breakfat buffet is superb!!!!

Everything you expect to find in Bavaria! The owners are just terrific. We arrived later than we had hoped and although they were closing the kitchen they still brought us something hot for dinner. The room was small but very adequate with a balcony overlooking a beautiful farm with cows and cow bells. Charming! Quaint and lovely.

We stayed here for several nights while travelling through Germany. I found the hotel, in part, based ohe the reviews on TA, which were pretty good. Our experience, however, was not so good. On the positive side, the owners are fantastic--very friendly and incredibly helpful. The food is pretty good. We ate dinner there most nights and were pleased by... More

What a lovely get-away from the activity of the tourist area of Oberammergau. Excellent service, quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the town, although it is only a five or ten minute walk from the center of town. Great food. Excellent dessert of the day by the chef was peach mousse. Very reasonable. Wish we'd found it sooner.... More

This property defines charming! Our room was at the top of the chalet with a balcony overlooking the valley and the dairy farm below. There was even a skylight in the bathroom with a view of the mountain across the valley. The room was extremely comfortable and spacious, the breakfasts and dinners were wonderful, but what really made this place... More

We just got back May 2013 and 4 days at Oberammergau. The stay here was the highlight of our trip. The hotel is clean and neat. The staff and especially Erik were the most friendly and helpful we have experienced in many years. The food was amazing and the setting is very peaceful and a perfect launching place to visit...
