Called in for lunch here on a snowy Sunday when all else was closed. It is as others say a dog friendly hotel, which suited us fine. It is quaint and the staff where great and very helpful. The food is good country fair plus the usual and plenty of it. Venison was huge amount and only €11 !

First in response to many reviews below, Most hotels and restaurants in Germany/Switzerland/France allow dogs especially in the mountain towns so you will probably run into them in any hotel. I stay here for a long weekend with my 2 chihuahuas. The hotel has 3 options for rooms (main house on the street, extra house 200 meters behind and next... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights with our whippet dog. My husband was working at the NATO school and I tagged along. This hotel was a great choice for us, as our dog was truly made welcome. Usually in hotels we feel uncomfortable with our dog and feel that she must not be seen or heard. But... More

I'm surprised to find so many complaints here -- I found the service friendly, the rooms clean (ours was freshly renovated and had a gorgeous view of the mountains), the dog training facilities super-convenient (three fully-equipped halls), and the food delicious. Yes, it is by a busy street corner, but I found it quiet enough at night to sleep with... More

We were on a Trafalgar tour for the Passion Play and stayed here for two nights. No AC, but the weather was pleasant. The bathroom had only a shower and was small. We are dog people so to see the many displays of past events was very interesting. I think it's similar to the AKC utility events. Seems like this... More

We wanted to visit the Oberammegau Passion Play. This once a decade event was spectacular and moving. I fail to understand how anyone could sit through the Passion Play without a longing to either re-commit or become a Christian. In order to secure our tickets we were led to believe that we had to buy a package through the Oberammegau... More

We arrived with a group to see the Passion Play ( held every 10 years).I had never been to Europe before either and had 2 nights at this Hotel. I think the amount of dogs was low because the Hotel was booked for the play. Did see 2 dogs behind check in desk but were very well mannered. The rooms... More

We arrived on a Thursday in the rain and didn't have a place to stay. We saw the Hotel Wolf directly ahead of us and the window boxes with the flowers caught our eye. The hotel reception employee was gracious and let us know up front that the hotel is now a sport hotel for dogs; and, that 60 dogs... More

Stayed here in route to Africa while doing some sight seeing in Bavaria. The hotel was nice enough. The room was small but comfortable. Nice little built in table in the window dormer. The only problem was that the room accross from us and next to us had dogs in them that barked through the night. NOT A PLACE FOR... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Wolf. One caution, this hotel welcomes (more like encourages) dogs. Our room had a food and water dish in the room. In the lobby, dog beds were available for use in the rooms. There was a large selection of dog toys, snacks, leashes, etc that were available for purchase. The hotel was convenient... More
