The Hotel Bavaria proved a wonderful option for a weekend in Berchtesgaden. From the pleasant greeting upon arrival, the good restaurant recommendations, information on local things to do, and the very generous German breakfast that was served the hosts provided excellent service. The Documentation Center which follows Hitler's life and times in the local area has an outstanding historical account... More

Bavarian chalet style hotel, family owned and operated, a 10 minute walk uphill from the train station. Auto parking is available. No elevator. Our room was large with balcony facing the Watzmann range, a beautiful view. The bathroom was small. The room décor was plain. The staff was friendly and spoke English. The breakfast was very good, with a beautiful... More

Once again, another fantastic stay at Hotel Bavaria. It's easy to see how Petra, Wolfagang, and Andre have earned being one of the top hotels in all of Germany. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted like family, and made to feel welcome. Whenever I would encounter Petra, Wolfgang, or Andre, their first words are "Is... More

We stayed at Hotel Baveria and throughly enjoyed our visit. Breakfast had lots of options, rooms were very clean and comfortable, owners were great. We asked for dinner recommendations each night and were very happy with their recommendations. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for five days over Christmas - our fourth stay with the Kurz family - we were greeted like old friends - our children joined us a day later and were welcomed in to breakfast even though they were early. I am already booking our next visit for August . I would not stay anywhere else in that area

Great location and very easy to find and parking is excellent. Stayed in the Ganghofer suite. The room was lovely and very good value for money. Although it was a little cold and misty at times, still enjoyed the view and fresh air from the terrace. The breakfast was superb! Many choices, no pressure and a splendid view to enjoy.... More

LOCATION Easy to find, easy to park car. Buses and train station are nearby, so it’s easy to get to the sights if you don’t have a car. The hotel is on a hill and it may be difficult for some to walk into town. Other than the hill, the restaurants, shops etc are a fairly easy walk away. ACCOMMODATION... More

Thank you Wolfgang, Petra and Andre for being great hosts. We were pleased with your warm welcome and your great advice of restaurant selection, especially the chinese restaruant (Heng Heng). Many mentioned about the breakfast selections, we were not regret about it. There were great varieties of juices, tea, toasts, pastries, chesses, sausages, cereals and more. Oh!! the coffee self-maker... More

We stayed here for 3 days of our 3 weeks in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. A short walk to the bus/train station and uptown. These are the happiest counter people I have seen. Free WiFi and bus passes. Excellent free breakfast. Excellent help with figuring out what day to go to The Eagle's Nest. There wasn't a question they didn't... More

I absolutely loved my visit to Hotel Bavaria. The owners could not have been friendlier or more accommodating, and everyone I spoke to was very knowledgeable about the local area. I stayed 2 nights in October, the week after Oktoberfest. This turned out to be a perfect week to go as tourist season was still in swing, but without the... More
