the hotel itself was a bit hard to find, being located on top of a hill. the decor is bavarian but a bit old fashioned. the scenery in Berchtesgaden is stunning, well worth a trip! the rooms were comfy and big, the bathroom was spacious and clean as well. the only thing we found a bit disappointing was breakfast. it... more

Family visited from the states in late July and we decided beautiful Berchtesgadenland would be a great place to spend a few days. Finding the good hotel was key, because they wanted to be in or very close to town, have some quiet and still be an "upscale" establishment. The Alpenhotel Kronprinz was perfect. Treff Berchtesgaden is a beautiful Bavarian hotel. The ladies that work there all have the german dresses on and the decor is wonderful too. The rooms were extremely big and very comfortable. There is a spa in the hotel, too, with a wet sauna, a dry sauna, a tanning bed, tubs to soak your feet, and shower stalls. It is... more
