The breakfast with (among many other things) feta cheese and smoked salmon was a pleasant surprise. The location is pretty near the city center, the main bus station, and 15 minutes walking distance from the main train station. Finally, the greek restaurant at the reception is very good and traditional. On the negative side, the bathroom of my room was... More

My first advice is that if you are coming by sat nav car to Bayreuth for the Festspiels, you don't need a hotel room in town. Next time I would look for some of the usually quite nice, small hotels that you find outside German cities near the Autobahn off ramps. Traveling is about coming home with good stories about... I wouldn't normally have thought of staying here, but I'd left my booking for the Festspiele time too late and this was the only place that had a room available. (Tip: book a hotel room as soon as your tickets arrive). The room, though, was comfortable and clean. It was indeed small but had everything necessary, including free Wifi throughout... More

You expect to pay over the odds during the Festspiele. Rooms were clean and comfortable in a basic way. Being in the center of town was a big plus. Not sure owner really understood what the festival was about. An iron was not a possibility even if you ask for one. The least positive aspect was completely lack of charm... More

Little to recommend about this hotel, which charges massively over the odds during festival time - and then has the cheek to make you pay upfront. If you are going to brave it, don't bother with an en-suite room. My friend paid more than 100 EUR a night to have a bathroom he couldn't physically fit into, and a room... More

Now I know it is not easy to get reasonably priced accommodation in Bayreuth during the opera festival. But this is unbelievable. The hotel has all the charm of a multi-storey car-park and yet they charge 135 euros for a double room with bathroom. The furnishings: purple walls, a turquoise bedstead, and a yellow lamp. And no desk, and I... More

Booked this hotel as the prices in this town during the Wagner festival are outrageous and this seemed the best value. It's a modern building with very basic room facilities. Unfortunately this was the problem. It was very hot with temperatures in the 90s fahrenheit. The single room I had had double doors which opened on to a small balcony,... More

I was looking for a cheap hotel not far from the Festival Hall in Bayreuth, and I found this one. I cannor really complain, although probably the structure had better times... My room was small but clean, the mattress a bit too soft. The street is quiet and, despite of the hot weather, I had good sleep. The Greek restaurant... More

For such a cheap price you won't get similar service in Bayreuth. This is an inexpensive but very confortable hotel, it is very close to the city center and a 5 minute drive from the main train station. There is a restaurant on the ground floor and underground parking. The buffet breakfast is good, although some extra variety would have... More
