This is a belated review of a visit to this hotel during the last year’s Bayreuth Festival. This is without doubt the best hotel for visitors to the Bayreuth Festival. It is ideally placed by the railway station (no noise from this quartet at all), a leisurely 10-15 minute walk up the hill to the theatre (glimpsed through the bathroom... More

We stayed there while attending a conference. The location is great since it is opposite the train station and next to a taxi rank. It is also near the city centre-about 10 minutes walk. Our room was on the third floor which has an American theme (!). Our room was warm, spacious and clean but quite old-fashioned. We had two... More

When visiting the Fichtelgebirge we stayed for two nights at the Bayerischer Hof in Bayreuth. Although up-to-date it has retained an old fashioned charm, with spacious rooms and bathrooms. It is conveniently situated next to the railway station and easily accessible by car. It is a short walk from the City centre and not far from the Festspielhaus. The Bistro... More

I visited the hotel for three nights last week with my husband. We landed in Nuremberg airport & had family meet us & drive us 1 hour & 20 minutes to the hotel. The hotel is situated right beside the train station so is handy if you are relying on public transport. Taxi rank is also right outside the door.... More

We stayed here for four nights whilst attending a performance at the Bayreuth Festspielhaus. It is very convenient if you come by train as it is right next to the station, yet there is no disturbance from the trains. We flew into Munich and drove to Bayreuth - they have their own parking area, and take and deliver you car... More

The Bayerischer Hof is the perfect hotel for anyone attending the summer opera festival. The Festspielhaus is a ten-minute walk to the north, along a pleasant tree-shaded avenue, and the historic center of Bayreuth is just three blocks to the south. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, even with the train station next door (very convenient for visitors arriving by... More

Apart from the fact that it is not air conditioned, this hotel is just fine. Good sized rooms, a lovely swimming pool, good breakfast, and walking distance from absolutely everything. The festspielhaus is a 10 minute walk from the hotel, and the old town is about the same distance in the other direction, so it really is perfectly situated, with... More

We stayed there for one night. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is right next to the train station and the parking is about 100 meters away hidden in an alley. Because of all the taxis and cars around the station, it could be hard to find a spot to drop off the luggage for check... More

We were here in November, and we know that the staff really tries to make the best of the situation, so I hate to write anything unkind, but I was shocked by the difference between the reviews I saw and the actual situation. I do realize most people are desperate for a room in the summer for the Festspiel, so... More

An excellent, well run and elegant hotel perfectly situated for the train station, Festspielhaus and city centre. Has a fine sauna and swimming pool and convenient safe parking. Staff are polite and helpful. Breakfast exactly as it should be with a wide choice of cold food and eggs and wurst freshly cooked to order. Sadly the restaurant was closed for... More
