This is a thoroughly recommendable hotel nor far from the centre of the delightful baroque town of Bayreuth. Good hotel and friendly staff - but expensive during festival as all hotels there are that time. Nothing negative. Even the location is good - walking distance from both the festival area and old town.

The hotel is well situated on the edge of the town centre and around 20 minutes' walk from the Festival Theatre. It is a large hotel with well-appointed, airconditioned rooms. During the Wagner Festival they provide free travel to the theatre, an excellent breakfast that lasts until 13:00 as well as snacks immediately before the buses leave for the theatre.

The hotel has wonderful staff especially in the bar and restaurant. All meals were excellent. The breakfast is superb. Free WiFi is perfect. Within walking distance to downtown. Spacious rooms. Very happy and highly recommend.

Opera enthusiasts for the Wagner Festival in August are well catered for at this hotel. It provides transport to and from the Festival Theatre, provides food before the opera (breakfast morphs into brunch) and has helpful staff. Rooms a bit impersoanl but everything clean. Well located on the edge of town. A good choice
