Quite poor standard and in a need of renovation. Windows that not could be closed, lot of noice from the street and marketplace And also the churchbells that rang every 15 minutes all night through !! However, nice staff in the reception And the breakfast was OK and the prices was on the other side not that high Also the... More

The location was superb looking straight out of the window at the impressive Munster. The room was clean, bed comfortable and the staff were friendly and efficient, breakfast was ok too. Going into more detail the room itself was pretty average with somewhat strange décor and a small, but functional bathroom (although saying that you probably wouldn't want the light... More

The hotel is right next to Ulm church in central. It was bit difficult to sleep because church bell was very noisy as it rings 4 times in every hour. Lift was out of order which was difficult for us using stairs for heavy luggages. We stayed one night. We had 3 beds. One of the bed was dirty, didn't... More

Location brilliant and waking up with the view of the Dome/Muenster is quite special, but that means also no parking and people non stop in front of the hotel to hear, also at night. The interior is amusing, if you have humour. Breakfast was with old dry bread and the fruit-salad had extras- mould! We did not dare to eat... More

We recently took a biking vacation along the Danube, and the bicycle tour company had booked us for our first night at the Hotel am Rathaus, in Ulm. To our surprise, when we arrived, the Hotel am Rathaus informed us that because of "baustelle" (construction work), they had moved us to a hotel a couple of blocks away, the Hotel... More

Great location. The hotel looks promising from the outside and the location opposite the cathedral in the centre of town is perfect. On entering is all seems ok but the room was depressing. Reasonably clean and spacious but basic cheap furniture and a horrible view over the back. The breakfast was dire. Virtually everything was processed, juice, cheese, meats, sickly... More

Very old and tired but very typical German Gasthof. Fabulous location by Ulm Munster. Breakfast disappointing as nearly everything had run out. Bed was comfortable but the furniture was old and falling apart. Overall it was worth the money for its location.

This hotel is in the middle of the town, rather difficult to find when travelling by car and no car park so that one has to unpack and avoid the traffic warden at the same time. Nice restaurant but only average rooms. Our evening meal was excellent as was the wine but breakfast was poor to say the least. No... More

If you're looking for a four-star accomodation go right ahead--and be ready to pay for it. But if you're looking for a classic German Gasthaus with n absolutely incredible restaurant, then go to the Ulmer Spatz. No, there are no flat scree tv's, at least not yet. And, the beds aren't overstuffed. The rooms have no fluff to them and... More

I would describe this hotel as only average. My single room was small, and the en-suite shower/WC was especially cramped. The ambience seemed rather old-fashioned. The hotel is very centrally situated, and only a few minutes walk from the station, but it was rather hard to find from the street address; for once, the normally excellent German street name signs...
