The hotel is very clean and the staff were nice. The hotel is a typical German guest-house and with this comes traditional German breakfasts and surroundings. We stayed here during the World Cup and have to say that we will never stay here again. As soon as we arrived, the owner tried to charge us an extra €100 by saying he had moved us to a "better, bigger, quieter" room. this is a short stay hotel 1/2 nights. the bed was all that was comfortable. the breakfast was from a cold salad buffet bar when the temperature outside was minus1-2. this is a family run hotel where the management lack people skills. we were not impressed and will not be returning. next time we will look for a proper Hotel

My wife, younger son and I have now stayed twice at the Hotel Waldhorn, and, for a clean, comfortable, inexpensive B&B-type place which gives good value for money, we can't fault it. The host, Peter Kussmaul, runs a lovely wee place which suits our sort of lifestyle down to the ground: our family room on both occasions was just ideal... More
