Super nice hotel! All the rooms are different! The owners (a very nice couple) look after the guests! Nice little restaurant! They give cooking classes there! Great location! Clean! Definitely would stat there again! No elevator though... So if you are traveling heavy... You will make a hell of an effort to get your things up and down the stairs!

It has all probably been said, but this is very interesting and unusual boutique hotel. Yet one that manages to be really quite cosy with very welcoming rooms. Nothing stark here - just quirky (all in a good way) and tastefully finished and decorated. Outstanding breakfast. Great staff. Spotless housekeeping. If we return to Stuttgart I simply wouldn't bother looking... More

A truly exceptional Design-Hotel *plus* restaurant within central Stuttgart. The 9 or 10 rooms boast most exquisite & each different interior design. Do not expect stunning views - which you do not need because of the unusual interior design. It is so outdated that your fantasies will keep you busy for a long time - especially when staying with a... More

Wanted a special place to celebrate our anniversary, and got it. Central location downtown, creative decor, clean and fabulous restaurant in the hotel. Unique architecture in our room, very cool open shower. I liked the hotel better than my husband as he's more tradition - that's why we've been married for 24 years!

The rooms in this hotel are not for the bashful. Having first booked the Black Box we came to realize that the bathroom was a bit too open for us to share with our teenage daughter. Thankfully we were able to get her the Barolo room, which was right beside ours. Her room had only a bath which was open... More

Dear Alisa, thank you for your feedback and taking the time to review your stay at "Der Zauberlehrling". Good to read that our team could provide you a good service and that you had overall a comfortable stay. Due to the different styles and architecture of all 17 rooms there are rooms with a open bath like the Barolo room,... More

I stayed at the hotel for two nights during an exhibition is Stuttgart. I booked the hotel because the price seemed fair (during the exhibition period) and the good comments of others in Tripadvisor. This is a specialty hotel (all rooms are different) and I ended staying in the Leela room. On the positive, we have: VERY CLEAN, nice large... More

I stayed in Wolke 7 and it was fantastic! The decor, shower, tub, sink, bed and much much more was impressive. Especially, the delicious chocolate left every night :-) Everyone was a friendly and the restaurant was one of the best I've ever eaten in and Brian was one of the most attentive servers I have ever had the pleasure... Stayed here 3 nights after I stayed at the V8 Hotel. The Staff was friendly and helped me out with the booking of my train ticket. My room (Kusamakura), they all have own names, was pretty cool and spacious. I had a glimpse into 2 other rooms on my floor they are all very different and look well designed. Location... More

We stayed in the Titanic Room, with waterbed, portholes, two sinks and fancy bath. There were some very nice touches - a praline, candles, slippers, MP3 player connection, a rotating TV, jogging map and dumbbell. The bed was extremely comfortable and a great experience - a bucket list item ticked off - though I was a bit sore the next... More

I stayed at the Zauberlehrling with my 13 year-old son en route from the Nurnburgring to Maranello. We just stayed for one night and arrived fairly exhausted having been on the road for 11 hours. The hotel is a little gem in a side street in the centre of Stuttgart. Everything about the place is enchanting and being used to... More
