I've stayed at the Ochsen many times now as I am a frequent visitor to the area for business. On my two visits this month I have stayed in their "new house", which is a converted property at the rear of the hotel, hence why I'm posting a second review. These rooms have been created to a high standard, with... More

What a lovely small hotel. Very good staff, nice large clean room. Small car park at rear of hotel. Reasonable prices. Food great, had one of the best Fillet steaks ever 24 Euro's, a bargain !!!! Beer good as well, nice atmosphere, locals eats & drink here. Nice outside decking area when weather nice. Convenient for Mercedes museum & main... More

A small and pleasant hotel with a hometown feel perfect for travelers like us who want to experience the German hospitality. At nighttime, the restaurant was bustling with lots of activity indoor and outdoors in the summer patio. It's a very well liked hotspot! Very warm and welcoming. The rooms are simple yet clean with newly renovated bathrooms that suffice.... More

Stayed for four nights recently. Had a large well appointed room fronting the street - there was no noise from the traffic but the smoke from restaurant patrons smoking below on the footpath meant we had to close our windows at night. Parking was available at the rear of the hotel, on-street parking rarely available. The room was quiet and... More

Stayed for business, and whilst understand other reviewers comments regarding location it was very convenient for me. Can be quite noisy at night, however my room was large and well appointed, spotlessly clean. An excellent breakfast also, and ate in the restaurant also which was very good. Will certainly use again, and would recommend to others.

This hotel is not in the centre of stuttgart but very close to the mercedes benz arena, were we went for a concert. Hotel is very good for the price we have paid. You have airco in your room, badroom and bedroom are from a good size. There is a flatscreen tv in the room and a mini bar. Breakfast... More

We booked a room at this hotel for three nights, but for a serious reason had to cancel the booking right upon arrival. At first I tried to find at least anybody at the reception, which wasn't an easy task - they were all busy at the smelly restaurant located at the ground floor. Apparently, they care more about those... More

Fine hotel, comfortable/clean etc and well placed for Ulmer-strasse and the local tram to/from the main Stuttgart Hbf station. Usually quite cheap deals available online. Similar to the Hetzel Hotel Löwen but rooms are a bit newer and the restaurant is better (although it's more expensive) Rooms - nice/well maintained, comfortable, good bathroom and shower. If possible avoid one above... More

My wife and I chose to stop at the Ochsen on a trip to Stuttgart - we didn't fancy central Stuttgart much and Ochsen was only a short journey from the city centre. Inviting looking establishment, with what I would describe as a typically German (/Bavarian?) bar area and restaurant. We dined there twice; they have a good menu selection,... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and I have to be upfront about not being overly impressed with Stuttgart... having said that this hotel was an oasis! Lots of character from outside and in the dining area, very clean and comfy rooms. The best part was the Weinstube restaurant - we had an absolute brilliant meal of Schwabian speciality dishes...
