There is good and bad to staying at the Mercure. The location is good, right on the U-bahn and close enough the main train station that lots of U trains run through the local stations. We did walk to downtown from here, but that is a good 15 minute walk. The good: the hotel is clean, has nice enough rooms,... More

I stayed in the mercure on a business trip because the hotel where i stay normally was booked out. I had a privileged room but the addiditonal charges arent worth it. You get a coffee machine and some alcohol free drinks in the minibar, the rest is the same as in other much cheaper hotels,

I stayed at the Mercure Hotel Stuttgart City Centre for one night. I arrived at lunch time and was allocated a room. However, the room was not clean. The minibar was used. The toilets had no liquid soap and the bath rtom unclean. I paid for a Privilege Room with a queen size bed, bathrobe, free newspaper, wifi. The room... More

We got a very good price for 2 weekend nights but now that we are in the Novotel Munich City we can see that the Mercure was much worse even though we are paying double in Munich. The Mercure is generally shabby, the breakfast was poor, air con was noisy and the location isn't great. When we tried the Nespresso... More

Dear athyoz, I am really sorry that you were that disappointed about your stay with us. As the Novotel München City is a real family hotel with big rooms for up to four persons and a big pool I can understand that you felt not that comfortable travelling as a family with us as our rooms are not that big.... location of the hotel is not the best as it doesnt have much around in terms of restaurant etc. also is a very clinical kind of environment and ambience lacking warmth. the staff in the evening shift is not knowledgable. the rooms were cramped and there was dust around. all in all the hotel might work for business visitors and... Pretty good property close to Main City station. Also you can walk around city attractions and shopping centers. However the walk to this location is not pedestrian friendly. Also lot of renovation work was happening with in the hotel. Quite noisy and dusty with in and outside the hotel that time. Now it must have improved.

Very clean hotel with a friendly and attentive staff. Great breakfast, consistent with better European hotels. Nice bar and restaurant for a convenient, "don't have to go out" dinner or late night refreshment. Would stay here again. A good room rate helps offset an inconvenient location. Did I say friendly staff....

Dear Stugot2, thanks a lot for your evaluation. You are right that our location could be seen as lacking - but with the new shopping mall and the famous Stadtbibliothek the area is getting more and more attractive. I would be very happy to welcome you again in our Mercure Stuttgart City Center - you will see the improvement of... More

We stayed only for 1 night. The hotel is close to the main railway station. The rooms are clean with key amenities, though slightly small in size. The staff is very courteous with efficient service. Parking is below the hotel, but expensive (Euro 14 per day).
