The Hotel is very conveniently located in close proximity to the Hauptbahnhof, the Haus der Wirtschaft and the restaurant I went to for three nights as the Hotel does not offer dinner at night. The breakfast was excellent, the hotel was clean and service was efficient. The quickest walk to Steinbeis was down Lautenschlagerstrasse then connecting to Theodor-Heuss Strasse until... More

The hotel is near the main train station and the main shopping district and in winter the Christmas Market. The staff was very helpful at check-in and check-out. The room was very nice and modern. The breakfast was very good, with a good selection of hot/cold foods as well as pastries.

Easy walk from the train station, to restaurants and ideally situated to the Christmas markets. Had a very nice large room with a sofa bed. Nice to have a spot to lounge a bit. The front desk staff were as helpful as possible with my not speaking German and they little English. The bar lounge area was not easy to... More

The Hotel Unger is ideally placed close to the railway station , and within easy walk of the fantastic ( but really busy Christmas market). The hotel is clean and tidy , and the staff are very helpful. We had an executive room that was excellent . Breakfast was very varied from mushroom soup to prawn cocktail with all the... More

Booked a single night here while visiting the Christmas markets. 5 mins walk to the train station and 10 minutes walk to the markets. Perfect! Room was a single, a little dated and the bed not the most comfortable I have slept in but otherwise the place was fine. The breakfast was good and Santa Claus was wandering the place... More

Stayed for one night, accommodated by friendly english-speaking staff, spacious well equipped room, beautifully decorated bar area, nice touches throughout like dressing robes, complimentary iced tea in reception area. Minibar which I'm never keen on! Near to station and shopping area. Buffet breakfast optional and at 8 euros good value, but not really to my taste with gluhwein-hangover (prawns smoked... More

I stayed here for two nights, to visit the beautiful Stuttgart Christmas market. The location couldn't be better, just 5 minutes walk from the main train station, and 2-3 minutes walk from the main shopping area. I should say, I almost cancelled my booking, to go to one of the more upmarket hotels (either Mercure or Meridien). I'm glad I... More

Ignore the old-fashion appearance when you arrive and you will find the large rooms have everything you need and more. I wasn't expecting electric exterior shade blinds on the windows but I bet they come in handy in the summer. The balcony was a nice touch and everything was beautifully clean and well-tended. Only improvement would be a bigger TV... More

This hotel is seriously expensive compared to the Motel One next door. The top floor rooms are the best but they are even more expensive! Breakfast is good with varied choice and boiled eggs that are perfect - quite rare in any hotel!.

Hotel Unger was recommended by a friend and was well worth it. The room was large and comfortable and a fantastic buffet breakfast was included. It's within walking distance of may things to do in Stuttgart, the train and tram system and the front desk staff is very helpful in terms of giving directions, advice, etc. We'd stay here again.
