Very friendly staff, very clean and functional. The 'new look' is a little Hotel Babylon which somehow doesn't 'fit' with the rest of the hotel and after it took so long (4/5 months for the reception area!)was an anti climax when revealed. Rooms are fine, though no mini bar. Can be noisy at the front especially in summer as the... More

I stayed here for one night on a business trip. The staff at the hotel are quite good, the rooms are clean, small and adequate. It would have been nice to have a small kettle or coffee machine in the room and possibly two pieces of soap (instead of one.) The gym has a lifecycle upright bike, a elliptical, a... More

The hotel is central and easy to find. Town centre ( such as it is) close. Solid comfort but irritating minor issues such as water ' for your refreshment' .... at a price. Staff friendly, capable and very competent. Single rooms a little small but high standards generally. Restaurant very good, if a little pricier than alternatives.

Just stayed there for a few days on business. Excellent service and location. Few minutes walk into town and restaurants. Rooms was of a good standard, pity there was no coffee making facilities though.

We went there over christmas and it was wonderful! got a free upgrade to a suite which had a beautiful view on the river. The pool is great and the restaurant downstair is great with a beautiful patio to eat outside. The breakfast is really good and the staff is nice. There is a computer downstairs that provides internet

Stayed in the hotel for 1 night on business, the room was reasonably spacious, clean. A fridge would have been nice as would some complementary water. Although warm outside, which can be expected in Germany the room had AC which once working was fine. We dinned in the restaurant in the hotel, the food was great. Breakfast was also you... More

I spent two nights here on a visit to Unilever's Knorr team for business. Check in was very friendly and overall initial atmosphere was rustic, warm and welcoming. My room was comfortable, however a little basic... No mini bar and I was gasping for a beer having arrived late and thirsty. No complimentary water, you had to pay for it.... More

One of the positive surprises while staying in Germany. Older hotel but well kept which offers all in all nice ambiance. Quality of food was good both in room service and breakfast. Only point of criticism were the fully booked parking spaces (and the limited help) and that staff could not provide some forgotten basic toiletries. Luckily the location is... More

One of the nicer hotels in Heilbronn, the Insel is located on an island in the river and is centrally located for access to town centre facilities. Rooms are comfortable and well-equipped and the restaurant offers a selection of seasonal, local specialities, although it is more expensive than other restaurants nearby. If you visit in Winter, beware that the marble... More

The Insel is an old property (just like everything else in Heilbronn) but has been updated nicely in recent years. The rooms are small, but comfortable. The beds are a bit shorter than I am used to, but are manageable. The breakfast is good, and waitstaff friendly. In a great location for walking along the river, shopping and visiting the... More
