Hard to find--walked past it twice. Very small sign for hotel. Got there early, but was allowed to check in at 10 a.m. Parking on street not an option. Quickly given map to parking lots available nearby. Very reasonably priced. Good breakfast. You pay an additional 1.5 euro for internet access which is very fast.

Stopped here for two days and overall pleased with the hotel. Clean, comfy beds, great location for the old town. Only criticism is the constant noise of people partying in the street until the early hours every night: lack of air con equals open windows equals disturbed sleep.

Not very comfortable rooms. Personal was friendly but still we could not leave the luggage at the reception on Sunday for a couple hours. Location is amazing and good price for this location. Cleaning was well as well. Breakfast was fair. If they changed the comfort a bit I think it will be a good hotel to stay

Location: Close to Bismark Platz and shopping, and busses that take you all over Heidelberg - but you can also walk from there to the Bahnhof, or opposite direction to Heidelberg Schloss, via the Haupstrasse. There is even a nearby hiking path, a Rewe and Kaufhof, plenty of restaurants too. We would totally stay there again! Computer: The service was... More

It has been almost two years since the last review of the Altstadt Hotel and having stated here 4 nights this week the place is fresh in my mind. If you want to be near Old Town (Altstadt) this hotel is on the western edge. It is 3 km from the train station. The price was more than I wanted... More

+ Clean, well-run, friendly, good central location, good working shower and decent size rooms. - (depending on need): if you're driving there's no parking | if you need a good wifi connection you'll be frustrated | if you've heavy bags and/or you're less than fully mobile you'll notice steep stairs as there is no lift. In similar vein, there is... More

Personally I would ignore the negative comments from many on this hotel. We've had a great stay so far: great, clean room, which is actually quite large by European standards. It is very close to the central/old town while still being reasonably accessible. Breakfast is included and was very good.

Usual small hotel situated in the middle of the city with expensive internet connection. (5 Euro/day). Not bad food, no crew after 20.00. But don't book this hotel if you want possibility of cancellation! I Booked room, after that I felt ill and had to cancel my trip. 1) they blocked ALL sum in the card after booking 2) they... More
