We had a great time at this sweet family run hotel. The manager was very kind to us and our kids. There was a school tour staying one night we were there and he apologised for any inconvenience. We didn't hear a thing. The building is old and could do with a lick of paint. The breakfast was simple fresh... More

Booked through booking.com as it was the only triple room I could find in my price range near Hockenheim as I was going to the German F1 GP the next day with my Dad and son. It's basically a large house so our room was just like a normal bedroom in someones house with 3 single beds rammed into it.... More

We booked this hotel due to its location, being close to Heidelberg and within walking distance of the S-Bahn. We parked our car in front and called reception from the street. The latch was released without any answer. At the reception upstairs a man we presumed to be the owner addressed us (no 'guten tag' or anything else) by stating... More

I generally agree with Gehrig's review. The hotel is in Bammental, which is a charming village about 20 minutes by S-Bahn from Heidelberg. The hotel, located adjacent to a supermarket, is in need of updating. The rooms are basic with few outlets, no AC, and our beds were not very comfortable. As mentioned in one review, there is one room... More

Had a single which is very small but met expectations for this type hotel quality. The town is delightful with beautiful views. Supermarket next door to hotel and nice ice cream shop just across the bridge. Hotel is family run and staff a bit disinterested in doing anything other than the bare minimum. Room was clean and more than acceptable.... More

The room was okay, not great, but not bad either. We had a nice view of a church and the trees. The location was a little out-of-the-way to Heidelburg. The clerk who checked us in was a douche. He sat and talked trash about us at breakfast, assuming we didn't speak German.

Luckily I only had to spend 1 night in troom 17. There was NO WINDOW. Well, there was a window but it opened into a hallway. This was booked by the tour I was on and the was worst hotel. See pictures. Dinner was served on lovely china while the toilet was dirty with built up residue. The decor is... More
