My friend and I adored this boutique hotel! We were pleasantly surprised about its location as it is in the center of the Altstadt "Old City" on the Hauptstrasse or "Main Street". Old City is incredible with its history and cobbled streets. I felt like I was in a movie! We were in the center of everything! Shops, Restaurants, Bars,... More

My oldest studies at the university here so we wanted to be near him. My daughter and I stayed here just before we flew home. Itisn't the most convenient with lots of luggage and if you come by bus or train it can be challenging but doable my travel partner was 3 and she dragged her suitcase behind her. We... More

This is our first trip to Europe, and the Hip Hotel in Heidelberg was our first stop of a 2 week adventure. We love this boutique hotel. It is located in the center of the Altstadt (old city) with it's front entrance on the Hauptstrasse (Main Street). It's close to everything. The rooms are all decorated after a city from... More

I had reason to be in the Heidelberg area where my colleague and I needed one nights accommodation. For whatever reason two of the most popular hotels were fully booked and based on the Tripadvisor reviews and its very location my colleague booked us into the Hip Hotel. This independent family owned and run hotel is located right on the... More

Truly a centrally located hotel. It was quite a novel surprise to be given a room name, rather a room number, and with the deco to match. We stayed in Paris, which was decorated in the 1920s style. Being in the attic room, it was not so well-lit. Though there was the elevator, for many rooms, one still has climb... More

This is a quirky and unconventional but good quality hotel. Every room is different, themed on a different city around the world. Even the elevator has room names instead of floors. The decor has been carefully planned and each room has a few apparently authentic features to give an impression of that country. I stayed there 7 times over 4... More

When we arrived at Hauptstrasse the street was cramful with all kinds of people. In the same building there was a restaurant facing the street and beergarden facing the opposite. I´m sensitive to noise and a truly light sleeper with bad luck it seemed. But both the restaurant and the beergarden closes 11:00 P:M and besides that when you closed... More

Parking is a nightmare! Dump your cases first, as it is public underground parking 1/4 mile away. Is a hard place to get to, even on motorbikes Great location, but utterly inpractical for the motor traveller Themed rooms are a quirky idea that really work. Excellent standards of decor and cleanliness No views as such but after a long ride... More

Stayed here on our way from UK to Poland. Great location for the town's many restaurants and bars - right on one of the cobbled main roads. Need to park elsewhere, not too far, but if carrying luggage be warned. You can drop off in the street, but it feels odd as essentially pedestrian area with access only. Rooms are... More
