We were slightly alarmed to discover that this hotel was located right on an extremely busy square with roadworks taking place at full volume. However, the rooms are very well sound proofed and noise is not an issue. We had booked a junior suite and the room itself was very attractive and tastefully decorated, with a huge TV and plenty... I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location was great for walking to numerous restaurants and pubs. The breakfast was one of the best I've had in Germany the room was comfortable. The staff was mediocre, most likely college students making the most of a convenient summer job.

Tannhaeuser Hotel is convenient and well priced for a stay in downtown Heidelberg. Easy to get to by tram. Car a bit more challenging but can be done. If no street parking, nearby post strasse offers reasonable off street parking garage. Hotel staff are pleasant and rooms are nicely renovated and presented. Particularly like the breakfast room and selection offered.

I stayed for three nights and enjoyed my time very much. Very friendly reception, a nice mixture of an old house with modern features, delcious breakfast and clean environment. Definitely a hotel where I would stay again and what I can recommend. The only problem might be that it is close to the very busy Bismarckplatz and this could be... More

The hotel staff was really helpful in providing breakfast one hour earlier so that we could have it before actually going to the railway station. I enjoyed the food served for breakfast and the atmosphere of the place. The location is very convenient, all the sights are within the walking distance. I recommend this place for all the guests of... More

The hotel is located on Bismarkplatz, and the area is under reconstruction. Germans are highly effective and they work 24/7. Trucks, all sorts of construction equipments will prevent you to sleep. Hotel staff is kind and aware, they'll propose you ear plugs, but it's a very little help to a big noise problem. Top off, it's the transit area for... More

Just across the road from the main shopping area so ideal for a city visit. There is no parking at the hotel, if you are lucky you can stop outside to drop off your luggage but it is on a busy corner. Parking is a 5 minute walk away in an underground car park and cost us about 10 euros... More

We spent one night here and loved the charm of this hotel. There is no elevator but thankfully we only had one overnight bag to make it up the stairs. Our room was not large and passing one another at the foot of the bed was comical. The room is contemporary in style yet the wood plank flooring which is... More
