We had the most wonderful experience at Die Hirschgasse in Heidelberg. It was so neat to "check-in" and asked to have a seat and be offered a drink of water or lemonade and then also to be given a snack from the kitchen. There was a very nice conversation asking about our plans and then giving us information about the... More

I am going be fair and honest in reviewing this hotel which I am current still in. 1. Location is not bad and easy access to public transportation and not far from old town 2. Nice place if you like to run along the run 3. Room is nice enough with good internet access 4. Staff is very friendly including... More

Nice old hotel with its parking in the courtyard, a lift and a restaurant. The old town is about 10-15 minutes walk. Polite friendly staff, quite good room. But the price for the room somewhat overstated, and breakfast somewhat monotonous. In addition, in our room the toilet was very cold.

Dear Mr. Nguyen, Thank you still for your harsh words, which we consider not at all fair and really over exaggerated. The secret of a good critic is, that it is written a couple of days later, and not in an emotional huff and puff. If you require a punching ball we recommend a fitness studio. Our butler breakfast is... More

After travelling around almost all the south and east germany and switzerland we ended in Heidelberg staying at this little gem. I look for hotels that can give me an insight or experience in the local culture somehow without being touristy. I was let down by previous hotels on this trip that were just old not engaging, authetic or offering... More

We based in this hotel for Christmas in Heidelberg including dinner at their much touted French restaurant on Christmas Eve. Our room had a musty awful smell. We put pot pouri around to try and get rid of it, but it was pretty entrenched. Our room looked onto a mud embankment and we couldn't even see part of the sky.... More

Dear Helen, Thank you for comment, which we consider is not reflecting the real situation. You stayed in a very nice spacy room which, was just recently renovated, with three persons in two bedrooms with two bathrooms. This big Salon Suite is a favourite suite for families. From this room on the second floor you even see a little bit... More

Die Hirschgasse is a traditional, warm and wonderful place to stay (recommended for couples) Only 15-20 min walk to the Heidelberg Castle and Old City. Each rooms are well designed on a floral theme, and the decor inside compliments the same.A traditional German Lamb of Fish preparation is worth a try....but the breakfast is just outstanding!!

Dear Shailesh, Thank you very much for your positive comment on the Hirschgasse Heidelberg and rating our Butler Breakfast as "just outstandind". A lot of thought has gone into developing presentation and style of service for the most important meal of the day and we keep on finding out new organic farmers who provide excellent products, with animal friendly and... Die Hirschgasse is a wonderful place to stay to visit Heildelberg. It is just a 15-minute walk to the Old City where there are several stores, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. One pleasant surprise is the outstanding breakfast – the best we have ever enjoyed at a hotel. They also have two wonderful restaurants on... More

I was expecting more from a luxury hotel. the furniture was outdated and needed maintenance. I didn't think cleanliness was up to par. the room smelled a bit funky. looks great from outside, but was expecting a lot more on the inside. wifi was free, but signal was weak and disconnected frequently. having said that, the hotel staff were superb,... You will not go wrong with this beautiful historic hotel. The staff is extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. The manager told us about the philosophers walk that is right up the street from the hotel (and I literally mean UP the street). We stayed in the Rosen deluxe suite 208 and if like flowers you'll love this room. Bed was super... More

I do not know the price as I was there for a business trip. But the short stay in the Hirschgasse including a great dinner in the Bismarck or Mensur-Stube was extremely positive and charming. so much tradition and history...Not too close to the railway station but not far from the Neckar-bridges to the Old city, calm. My room was... More
