After staying here, I will always choose a hostel over a hotel. We had a great time and everyone was very friendly. We could buy wine and beer from the front desk - best part of it! We also could use the washing machine and drying rack for 2 Euros. The hostess allowed us to have friends over and cook... More

Though I was only here one night, it was one of the best hostel stays I have experienced. I had arrived at the train station in the morning with no hotel/hostel reservations, and with some help from the Heidelberg tourist office, managed to snag the last room here at Lotte. Bright, clean, recently renovated (yet still had character and charm)... More

This was the cutest little hostel I've stayed in. A wee bit pricey, but awesome location (right by the steps that lead up to the castle), free cereal and hot drinks. Lovely cozy environment, which was awesome in December. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Wish I could have stayed longer. Loved it.

My best friend and I went on a European road trip of 6 countries in November of 2013. We didn't really have an itinerary, we just knew which countries we wanted to travel through (Belgium, Lux, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland) and our final destination (Venice, Italy). As we drove through Germany and consulted the myriad of travel sites, we decided to... More

Maybe the best hostel i've ever been. Always clean, comfy, recent construction, nice personnel, the parking in front of it (must pay, max 12€/day) is a 3 floors always under surveillance and the location is exactly between the city center, nearby the town hall, and the walk to the ancient Heidelberg Schloss (castle). Quiet area, very closed to pubs, shops,... More

Just situated next to the cable car station and car park next door only 12 euros/24 hrs! Very quiet indeed although in the tourism area. Free coffee tea milk all day! Bathroom: I would say spotless! They clean them all the time. You can't even find hair in the shower tray! Wonderful stay. We will definitely come back again!

Great Hostel, situated right downtown in the middle of everything. Very friendly staff, great kitchen (they even do your washing up for you) and comfortable common room. Its quite small, so everyone knows everyone and very welcoming of new comers. The dorm as spacious and well ventilated, with large lockers for your gear. The mattress on the bed could have... More

Really warm welcome, new showers, rooms are beautiful and breakfast is a pleasure to have! Besides, it's close to everything! Maybe you pay a little bit more in comparison with the other hostel but it so worth it!

This hostel is the best for multiple reasons. First, you can't beat the location. It is literally two blocks from the main pedestrian street in the heart of Old Town Heidelberg and right next to the pathway leading to Schloss Heidelberg (the castle). You can catch a bus from the main train station almost right to the hostel (stop is... More

My girlfriend and I stayed two nights at Lotte. We came across this hostel thanks to the tourist information office because we hadn't booked It is just a 2 mins walk from Rathaus so all the attractions and restaurants are within a walking distance. Prices are absolutely affordable, especially if compared to the average prices in Heidelberg: 64 Euros for... More
