This is a family-run hotel in a very old building. The rooms are clean well maintained, comfortable and of full of old-world charm. Despite being located on the Hauptstrasse, the windows are well constructed and barely any noise filters in. Added charm is wonderful views of the Alpine meadows and the Black Forest, albeit one needs to peep out on... More

This was our best hotel stay in Germany. The hotel is very close to the center of Triberg with all the associated pubs, amenities and tourist attractions. The hotel part of the business is located above the café, which specialises in cakes and chocolates. They make them onsite near the hotel foyer, and can be smelt (or purchased) on your... More

Rooms was clean and staff was friendly! Very friendly...like they were my own relatives hahah. The reception area is manned by an Old Man who spoke just enough english to give me a set of keys and tell me my room number. But that did not stop him from trying his best to recommend me places to go. And when... More

When you are traveling alone, feeling welcome at your hotel means everything. Hotel Cafe Adler has a great staff of very real and friendly folks. The cafe and treat shop next door was beautiful and had every chocolate item you could want. The rooms were spacious if a little bit older (I like that anyway), and looked out onto a... More

Read through the previous reviews and you will get the idea of his place but only being there can do it justice. Yes the wifi is terrible, yes the towels are thin (really thin) but somehow it doesn't matter. This is a lovely place. Please also try some of the chocolate and marzipan from the attached shop they are delicious.

the room was what the pictured showed and clean. But the room was not cleaned well each day, The bath towels were small, thin and rough. Stains on bed sheets. My main reason to pick the hotel was the bakery candy shop attached but it was closed. The town closed down at 5-6:00 making it hard to get dinner after... More

Really good location in the centre of this pretty town, very near the entrance to the waterfalls and the cuckoo clock shops. Very big room with plenty of space and sofa to relax. Breakfast was amazing, the best we had on our trip - fruit, cold meats, cheeses etc, all help yourself but as much as you want and the... More

My wife and I had a reservation at this hotel for the weekend, but when we showed up on Friday night there was no one at the hotel to receive us. It was 10 pm and so this did not seem strange, but when we called the phone number provided there was no answer. There were no additional instructions posted... More

Triberg is a small, quaint little town up in the Black Forest Mountains! All you need for a fantastic visit to this place is a bed, a bathroom and four walls. However Adler is much more than that. This place is a classical German B&B or 'Gasthaus' as known locally over there, with an attached cafe serving some delectable local... More

My husband and I took a trip to Triberg to look at purchasing a clock. The Adler is a reasonably priced simple hotel. The rooms were large for two people for one night. The breakfast was plentiful and the hotel was located right on main street with ample parking. The hotel is everything you need for a one night simple... More
