Very pleasant stay and good value for money package of 4 days. Some of the rooms (ours) have the bathrooms refurbished. Very friendly staff, to be recommended for a short break in the black forest. Nicely located for walks in de forest around igelsberg.

Interesting hotel. We had an apartment which consisted of a bathroom, entry hall and separate sleeping/lounge area. There was also a balcony. Greeted warmly by Torstein who showed us around the hotel including the restaurants, bar, spa and pool. Seems to cater for everything. Lots of antinques everywhere. My husband liked this but I found it a bit overpowering. Room... More

Beautiful view from my balcony of the village and the countryside, a nice room, a wonderful warm mineral pool, and a delicious breakfast! I came with a small tour group and the hospitality of the staff was the best! Spent two nights at the Krone and managed to enjoy the pool and a Hot Chocolate Massage in addition to our... More

Second visit, this time for seven days instead of five. Someone commented on the quietness of the village but for us this is the charm, you need a car to be there anyway and there are lots of walks locally. We enjoyed our after dinner walks as the village is set in lovely open meadows so you get a great... More

Good hotel, quite some kitch and a bit dark but clean comfortable rooms. Not exceptional for dinner but breakfast has a good choice. Super friendly service at the reception. Good massage service. The village is very quiet and small, excellent if you look for getting away from the busy places.

While staying at Hotel Krone, I was impressed by the personal attention to service. The owners were fantastic and provided a special "torch Light" for us to experience gluehwine. It was a treat. The food was great and the beauty of this town wonderful. This family hotel made my trip worth while. The town is small and just right for... More

I booked this hotel for one night after reading great reviews to explore this section of the black forest and I must say that i've maybe expected more based on the reviews. First of all Anja is very nice and warm no doubt about it.I booked for half board but disappointed a little bit from the food.I have found the... More

This hotel is great for a romantic weekend getaway! The food is very good, especially the breakfast options. The Happy weekend deal is pretty good if you plan on being at the hotel for dinner. The staff are friendly and helpful and I had a great massage. The rooms are nice and have pleasant views, most have balconies. There are... More

Lovely setting, wonderful room with balcony and lounge, fantastic breakfast with a more than ample choice, good food overall although in warm weather the soup course may have been better changed to a cheese course? The homemade Schnapps is also worth a try. The staff were very helpful particularly Anja who looked after us and allowed me to practice my... More

Having never visited the Black Forest before I used Trip Advisor to help me find a hotel and we were not disappointed in out 5 night stay here. The decoration is kitsch, not chic boutique design, but having accepted that it is a wonderful experience. We had half board which offered excellent value (about £140 per night for 2 people)...
