The hotel is outside of Freiburg (about 25 minutes by bus). Positive is the parking and the breakfast was quite nice. However, the hotel is worn out and the best times are gone. You can smell it if you enter the house and your room. Only the bath room seem to renovated in the last years.

Very friendly gentlemen who checked us in around 01.00 am. Very friendly! Nice breakfast indeed! It is a buffet! Great place to spend the night of coming from Italy or going there if coming from Netherlands.

family run hotel with a long tradition. large rooms, good breakfast - all terribly spoiled by the most smoke in a hotel I have experienced in years. Hotel Zum schiff is not as depicted on their website. I don’t know where from they picked their 4 stars. They are the kind of 3 stars hotel you would find near a highway. This is why I chose it. It is a clean hotel for a stop-over stay but definitely not for any kind of holidays. It is located...
