We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. It's a perfectly located, cozy, hotel (a little bit old fashioned, we loved it), small rooms, but an excellent bed, a perfect shower in the bathroom, ..... The owners and the staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is OK.... Maybe one negative point: there's no airco, and with 34 degrees... More

Traditional German, family owned hotel. There is no lift and our room was on the top floor (63 steps up) but there were photos, paintings, old cupboards, etc. on the landings to stop and look at while catching our breath. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke English and were very... More

This is a very nice small hotel, with historic character and a friendly, personalized atmosphere. The location was great, the breakfast was good, and the room was lovely. We had a room with a balcony, and we LOVED it. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars overall is that the mattresses were kind of hard.

Stayed at the Hotel Barbara for three nights. A lovely looking traditional German hotel on a quiet street but near everything. Upon arrival you were made to feel welcome with water offered to refresh you. Found the owners really friendly and nothing was too much bother as we asked for more cushions and these were quickly delivered to our room.... More

What a gem this hotel is one street from the main station, family run wonderful friendly, tidy rooms, Great Breakfast. Would highly recommend. Walking distance to everything, quiet street. Try the great restaurants in the old town eat where the locals eat.

Recently stayed one Friday night in this lovely family owned hotel, located about 5 minutes from the train station and another 10 minutes from the Munsterplatz – on a quiet street. Room was tiny (#22) but had a good-size balcony overlooking the street. Despite its square footage, the room was fully equipped with side tables, large bed, desk, mini-fridge, closet,... More

We booked a room for two nights, at inctedibly short notice and got a fair price despite that. The hotel is located about 5mins from the main rail station, is impeccably clean and very comfortable. The breakfast - built into that reasonable price - was everything you'd hope from a continental breakfast and set us up for the day.

The room and hotel was spacious and decorated in a traditional German style. The breakfast was simple continental but perfect set up for the day. Location was great for exploring town and getting train out to visit surrounding areas. Trip to Titisee is recommended and cuckoo clock shopping very fun.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. Very close to the old city. However, we paid 180$ for a very small room, 4th floor with no elevator, no wifi in the room, and no parking. There are more expensive hotels around, but they may provide better value for money.

This hotel is very close to the train station in one direction, and the old town in the other. There is no lift, but the staff lugs the bags up to the room, so no big deal for us. The breakfast is very good, including little chocolates to tide you over until kaffee und kuchen. Really liked this place.
