A lovely hotel close to the town centre. Very friendly staff in reception and the breakfast room. A lovely room, a bonus was the balcony with a lovely view towards the old town. The bed was very comfortable, bathroom basic but adequate. The hotel is in a quiet location and we had an excellent sleep that night. The hotel is... More

Stayed at this hotel the weekend of the 23-26th May 2014 with my partner after spending five days in Munich: we had hired a car and drove along the A1 Autobahn from Munich to Baden-Baden (a trip according to sat-nav that should have taken three and half hours, but took more like four and three quarter hours) therefore arrived at... This hotel offers a nice view of garden and outside nature. I lived in a room with a balcony, which is really nice. Spending mornings and evenings sitting in the balcony and watching outside nature is a wonderful experience. Friendly staff...nice view...and reasonable price. But, no wifi inside the room and one has to come to reception and dinning area... More

This hotel was up on a big hill and gorgeous scenery from the patio for drinks and dining! The rooms are fabulous, clean, nice bedding and pillows. The reception staff spoke English for us and made reservations downtown for us by phone. Nice! The breakfast in the morning is a must do! Great scrambled eggs and bacon with sausage. Also,... More

We stay here often and I find it even better than some of the 5 star hotels in town, that may have more old luxury charm but are much more worn out. Very well renovated, quiet, cozy rooms with green view, modern bathrooms, nice large restaurant and decent breakfast. Parking on hotel premises (except the garage) or just outside free... More

We were looking for a hotel that could provide 1 bedroom for 3 adults and found it in this hotel. The hostesses were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is huge and I find it very modern (loved the furniture!) By European standards, the room is quite spacious enough (as is the bathroom!). We had a couch that pulled out... More

The rooms have a standard size but really confortable. The rooms have a great view over the city. The staff is really friendly. The parking places can be difficult to find. The hotel has some free parking places, but not enough. It's next to the city center, but be prepared to a 10 minute walk uphill.

Extremely clean hotel, staff was very friendly, and the manager in the eatery came over and had a talk with us giving good advice and asking all of our inquiring questions. It is at the top of a steep hill from the city center but we didn't mind the walk/exercise. Very short walk from everything, quiet, and free parking in... More

My husband and I recently spent three nights at the Magnetburg and thought it good value in a city where hotels good hotels can be very expensive. We had a large, comfortable room on the second floor overlooking part of the gardens and an attractive residential area. The room included a small sitting area with a sofa and a small... More
