Hotel is located in a peaceful area. Good for holidaymakers. Not suitable for business people. It doesn't provide parking places for all guests. If more than 5 guests arrive by car others must look for parking around the area. Breakfast choice and reception opening are suitable for 2 star hotel. Sink is in a room. Rooms have enough external light,... More

Had a one night stop over here on motorbikes. Friendly hotel run by a lovely couple that could speak English. Motorbikes were put in their garage which was no trouble to them. Very clean spacious rooms. Lovely ten minute walk through beautiful park to town. Breakfast was basic but ok. Lovely comfortable bed which was a blessing after riding bikes... More

We really liked this family hotel. It is absolutely SPOTLESSLY clean, and a very nice 20 min. stroll along the river into the centre of town. It is in a very quiet neighbourhood and the owners are very nice and helpful. It is great value, we highly recommend it. The breakfast was also nice in the morning, lovely breakfast room.

We decided to stay over night unexpectedly in Baden Baden, Germany. We found the Deutscher Kaiser Hotel and had a very good stay there. The staff is quite pleasant and helpful and the rooms are comfortable. The breakfast is good and included with the room rate. The hotel is very convenient to the center area and attractions for visitors, including... More

We were in Baden-Baden when it was busy and had to stay here. Avoid it if you can. The place smells. The cigarette smoke of many years has impregnated the walls to the extent you cannot be in the place without moving to open a window. It is enough to turn your stomach. Mrs Hotelier is a force to be... More

All in all, is is a very nice hotel. The couple who owns it are friendly, knowledgeable about local attractions, and provide a tasty breakfast. The rooms are quiet, with plenty of space, and comfy. The shower in our room was a bit small for us, but it was not a deal breaker. Not being able to get wifi in... More

The hotel Deutscher Kaiser, Lichtental proved ideal for our Baden-Baden visit. It’s among the lowest in price, but though an older style family hotel, the bedrooms and bathrooms are immaculate and there’s a good buffet breakfast. The hotel is cheaper because it’s in a village suburb (there’s a more expensive hotel of the same name in town). But that’s no... More

Stayed here with two friends on a recent trip through southern Germany. Not the most modern place (except for flat TV in room), but for less than 30 Euros a person including (an appropriately scoped) breakfast certainly a great deal. Bus stop right next to the hotel with regular connections downtown, free wifi, very kind and accommodating owners.

I wouldn't rate the hotel as three star, as they position themselves. But the hotel is very good for two star. Convenient location: right in front of a bus stop. Bus to city center or railway station goes every ten minutes in daytime. I recommend to arrive to the hotel before 8pm, otherwise you can meet closed door. Anyway, they... More

Like another reviewer, I had intended to book the Deutscher Kaiser in Baden Baden centre and by mistake booked this one...D'oh that's why it was cheap! It was fine. Firstly if travelling by train you have to get the bus to Baden Baden anyway and this place is only a couple of stops further on. The bus stop is directly... More
