The hotel was 'nice', not great, just nice; clean, good water pressure and a good bed. It is centrally located, so there isn't any challenge getting to the city center or most of the attractions. The park house is located close to the hotel, so again, no worries there, although it is tough to find as it's around the back... More

This was the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Why? Because the staff treat you like they really want you there. They do everything right, from the coffee, tea, snacks and water that await you upon arrival to the beautifully newly decorated rooms in a classic hotel. The breakfast was incredible, a 30 foot wall of food. They gave... More

Am Sophienpark surprised me pleasantly, mostly because it is everything but one of those typical hotels. On the first floor of the hotel you can read some nice history of the hotel (I am sure it is at the website as well) and that will explain why the hotel is what it is now. Let’s start with the location: it... More

Love the old world, early 20th century look attempt, yes attempt. The furniture in the common areas are fun. Whoever decoratted needed to reference turn o the century pictures. The rooms were very spacious and the Sunday morning breakfast was superb. You cannot beat the the price for the location. We will be returning for another stay.

Stylish hotel, spacious room, central location (5 min. walk to Spa, theater and Fabergé museum). Free tea/coffee at the reception, free WiFi. Staff offer to park our car to the garage. Breakfast room was overcrowded... only one minus Ask hotel about driving instruction because GPS makes it wrong.

This was our third time in Baden-Baden and we spent almost a week, in July 2013.I don't regret having chosen the Sophienpark this time. It is a classy, old-fahioned hotel, for people who have the time to enjoy the beautiful park and the majestic stairs, the spacious lobby and the library room. Our room was a superiour one, quite large... More

Wow! This hotel has class! Our room (320) was gorgeous, looked onto the garden and had a massive balcony for a few evening drinks. The bathroom was spacious, clean and well appointed. Our GPS got us to the hotel, we checked in and the hotel staff gave us a map to the parking garage. No problems! We were a 5... More

A nice looking web site deceives the truth! We stayed here en route, and whilst delighted at the chic sophisticated town of Baden Baden, had a dreadful night at the am Sophienpark. Bedroom 514 was a dowdy, carpet stained, drab, dim, ensemble. The external blind was stuck down allowing no air into the room and preventing one from seeing out.... More

We also got lost, but that happens in à lot of pedestrianised town centres. Very welcoming receptioniist who apologised that our room was not quite ready, but did not have to wait long. Had à large, beautifully decorated room overlooking the gardens. Bed was comfortable, bathroom spacious and the hotel is in à great location. Breakfast was ver good, lots... More
