We have never stayed here but have had many meals over the decades. The food is absolutely incredible and if you go in warm weather, make sure you sit outside in the garden which is absolutely bucolic. The first time my father went, Mme Point was still there and we have been going back for many, many years. If you... More

Looking for a great dining experience in The Rhone region. Try La Pyramide in this Relais and Chateau property. Modern attractive fixtures in the restaurant help create an upscale, bright and airy ambience. Excellent food and friendly service.

We arrived and got settled in the room, later that night we discovered the air conditioning did not work. We opened the windows and realized that the train tracks were a mere few blocks away....what a nightmare! between the heat and the passing trains we did not get any sleep. When I spoke to management the next morning, they explained... More

This is a hotel from the Relais & Châteaux brand. By making a reservation here you expect 'the best'. We had a wonderful experience. The restaurant of the hotel is very modern and is run by the owner and his crew. It has a beautiful garden with little corners where you can sit to have a drink or enjoy lunch/dinner.... More

the room was a shock : old, kitsch (not always an objection) and overpriced. paid 220 euro excluding breakfast. the plus is : good restaurant. but here again i have remark to add. france has so many good places that serve local produce. why does the beef need to come form e uk? wines from abroad? Vienne offers an old... More

This is an excellent destination restaurant with attractive gardens, exciting modern decor to dining and public area. However, entering the bedrooms you feel you may have mistakenly slipped into another hotel. These rooms are perfectly OK but are in a rather traditional flowery pink and green decor. Again the bathroom is adequate but not mind blowing to match the restaurant... More

La Pyramid is a place of mixed emotions and realities. The location is in a rather run down area of Vienne France. Yet the building complex is very well maintained and the grounds are manicured. The landscaping is formal and beautiful. The rock paths that surround the formally clipped box wood pyramids are even raked, echoing the actual Roman marble... More

Nothing about this hotel is average. The restaurant and bistro are excellent. The room we had was very nice. The staff at the hotel were charming. The location was just outside the city center. But, and this is a big but, the WiFi did not work except for maybe between 3 AM and 8AM and the air conditioning was feeble... More

We have stayed at la Pyramide on several occasions as it is quiet but very close to the Motorway when we are travelling south. The Gourmet restaurant has 2 Michelin stars which are well deserved as the Chef Patrick Henriroux is one of the top Chefs in Europe. On this occasion we took the Decouverte & Saveurs package which offered... More

While we have been returning repeatedly to the excellent restaurant of one of the very top French Chefs, M. Henriroux, for some twenty-five years, we always find the Hotel La Pyramide to be mightily disappointing (that is - when we are lazy to travel to Lyon and stay there after our dinner). We usually travel with a lot of luggage... More
