Just had a fabulous week's bed and breakfast at the Danival. We had a quad room which had amazing views over the piste, a full-sized bath, plenty of hot water and even a useful little kitchenette. It was right on the piste and the Christmas firework display was just a few feet from the balcony. The hotel was genuinely ski to the door. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - particularly when my son's ski boots were stolen or taken by mistake on Christmas Day. (There is a heated boot rack in the basement which is obviously not 100% secure.) The breakfasts provided boiled eggs, delicious croissants and fresh fruit every day. There was limitless hot chocolate - also available at tea time. The underground car park was also very useful. Considering the eye-watering prices of most things in Val d'Isere this hotel was a real bargain. more
