First let me start with the only good point: the Club Med is perfectly located on the slopes, so it's great for skiing/snowboarding. Now I sadly have to mention the incidents, which happen to me: - Being a Club Med regular customer for years, I always had excellent memories of the quality of the food until this trip. The food... Val d'Isere is a lovely place and well worth a visit particularly if you are a keen skier. My only question is - why have they spoilt it by allowing this Club Med "resort" Right from the start I was completely "underwhelmed" Having been told it was a fabulous place I at first assumed the taxi driver had got lost... This is our fifth Club Med ski holiday so we can make comparisons. We love the Club Med formula as one price covers travel, food (breakfast, lunch, dinner,) accommodation, soft and alcoholic drinks (apart from certain premium items) area ski pass and morning and afternoon lessons with ESF ski school. The mostly French staff were all lovely and helpful with... More

We ski regularly and have visited many resorts. This was our first time with a Club Med resort. Overall, it was well positioned and well proportioned accommodation. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The boot room was fab, heated and literally right next door to the ski hire shop. The ski instructors were fantastic and met us outside the... More

The thing with staying at a Club Med for skiing is that everything is pre paid for and supplied. They have a well proven formula; organised, friendly, a large range of food to choose from and comfortable rooms. In January just my wife and I went skiing without our children so we decided to stay in Val D’Isere. The Club... More

It was my first experience of skiing. The group was huge and the instructors did not have enough time to spend with each person. The hotel rooms were very small and the carpets in the passages were dirty. The food was spectacular.

It was my first experience with Club Med and I always had impression it must be a luxury vacation especially for the price you pay. May be it is just this hotel, but rooms are so small and simple, it was very disappoiting. Same for bathroom - only shower (no bath) and very tiny even for a child. Food and... More

On arrival to club med last Sunday - I had had previous reviews as to being welcomed with cocktails etc. Instead we wondered in and had to find our way as to where we check in. After check in we were advised to go to our rooms. The rooms are super small and quite dated, I must say the beds... More

I was at ClubMed Val D'isere for an all-inclusive week in February 2015, without taking their transfer package - i.e., I only had the all-inclusive stay at the hotel, but I had to get to the ski resort myself. This is a detail account of my experiences getting to ClubMed and my experiences there. Travel It is possible (and cheaper,... More

I want to start by saying that my overall experience of this place was a positive one. The hotel is just fine, the food was better than expected and the staff are great. This isn't to say that it doesn't have its faults. I stayed in a 'standard' club room but would have paid a little more for a deluxe... More
