We were 2 adults with 2 children - 8 and 10 y - who spend a wonderful week at Kandahar. The hotel is centrally located in between the more 'luxury' part of town and the 'middel range'. The staff really gives you the impression of being welcomed, the breakfast buffet provided us with good energy for the skiing - and... more

The hotel is only 3 star but felt like much more! Even the bed was comforatable! The kids bunk beds were in the back of the room and very quite! The food in the hotel restaurant for dinner was great. Make dinner reservations or you won't get in! The staff was very kind, helpful, and spoke great english. The hotel... more

My Girlfriend and I have just come back from Val d'isere (FEB '08)and booked to stay at the Kandahar. To look at from the outside and the inside the hotel was nothing special - but is more than what you would probably expect from a 3*. The hotel service was brilliant and very friendly, particularly comparitvely to other hotels (bars... more

Frankly, I expected more. The common areas are perfectly lovely (thus the nice photos on the web) but the rooms are rather spartan. It's much more of a nice 2-star than a 3-star quality, particularly as the price is steep for a 3-star. Our junior suite was large for European standards but the additional space was virtually meaningless--the additional space... more

I was very impressed with this chic little hotel. We spent a week there in Feb 2007 and were impressed with all the little touches of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. The rooms were well decorated and clean (I would recommend staying in a junior suite, it was a little larger). The only bad thing I would... more

We stayed in this hotel from 21-28 Jan 06, it was wonderful. In total we had 3 rooms. Our 1 year old daughter was with us and my mother-in-law came along to babysit. Almost every morning whilst we were at breakfast the cleaners cleaned our room so that it was ready for my daughter and mother-in-law to go back into.... more

When we first got there, the rather unfriendly receptionist blankly told us that one of our rooms wasn't ready, so we could only use one. The first room stank of stale smoke, and the room was alright but a bit cramped. The second room was much better: a bit more spacious and was not smelly. The restaurant was excellent and... more
