The Hotel Gelinotte is superbly appointed in central Val d'Isère and just 7 to 10 mins walk from the slopes and centre. All bedrooms are en suite and the property is run as a small ski hotel with fabulous cooked and continental breakfasts and an a la carte evening menu with many other great touches to make your holiday extra special. The hotel has a fully licensed bar and restaurant. Guests will find a sauna for relaxing in after a long days skiing. There is also a quiet lounge for reading, a comfy lounge and TV lounge and a licensed bar with draft beers, spirits and wines. The hotel has Wi-fi access and the public areas are well thought out to offer guests privacy and different options for socialising.
A great staff group and real family feel to our hols at the Gelli. Friendly staff who are attentive and helpful, great facilities and the wonderful Val D'isere and mountains around us, fabulous! Enjoyed the amazing MTB trails, white water rafting and Via Ferrata with Stefan our mountain man guide. We will look to book again, a fantastic holiday, thank you to all at The Gelli.

The whole team displayed extraordinary customer focus behaviour. On our first day the manager (Robin) welcomed (meet & greet) us and made my family and I feel very special. He explained the necessary housekeeping and introduces his supporting team by name. Our activity leader (Ben) were very helpful (proactive) from the start and made contact prior our trip to ensure a Very smooth pick up from the airport and to have our bikes tailored to our height and age specification in readiness for collection the next day, he also went that extra mile to cater for my 6 year old granddaughter (non rider) with stabiliser for her bike, a most welcome touch - it meant that we can all take part and no one was left out. In summary both Ben & Robin went that extra mile to ensure we all enjoy…

The whole Alpine Elements team at the chalet/ hotel Gelinotte were awesome and made our stay in summer Alps a great, easy, relaxing, time. What you get for your money really is astonishing value. Service was genuinely super - I got a cake for my birthday, I had a delivery sent from the UK and that was all handled for me, great recommendations for hiking/ biking routes that the staff had actually done themselves (we saw them up the mountains on their days off!), swapping mtb for a road bike for a day and fitting my own pedals. There are more than enough free things to do (included in the vd'I visitor pass), or you can pay for extras. Or you could do none and be as idle as you like and just enjoy the views.

Just returned from an amazing week. The hotel is in a great location, a 10 min walk into the village centre. The Alpine Elements staff were like one big family - friendly, on hand with advice and we were grateful for them accommodating our fussy eater son! As the hotel is quite small we got to know the other families staying which made for a great atmosphere. Can’t single out one member of staff as they were all fantastic. We did lots of activities but beware that there are age limits for some of the additional paid for activities , our son is 8 and not able to do the via feretta or hydro speed (probably not a bad thing as husband said via feratta was hard & scary!) He also didn’t bike down the mountain as probably a bit too much unless have previous experience. We did most of…

Welcome to the family, Sarah T! Thanks for your review and so pleased to hear that your stay was a success. There is a mention of the age limit on all activities on our website and as you now know, an 8 year old has plenty of activities to choose from! For example, kids (age 8+) can give rock climbing a go or take part in Rubber Duckies, where children and adults alike can take to the waters on an inflatable river Ducky! Glad to hear you enjoyed the white water rafting and parapenting! See you next year! All the best, Rhianna Customer Care Team Hotel Gelinotte

Had an amazing 2 weeks with alpine elements at the gelinotte. Robin and Dan run a friendly welcoming home from home. The food is amazing, kudos to the Yorkshire lads & staff in the kitchen, & Ellie went out of her way to check we were all sorted and provided for. Becky runs the housekeeping and nothing was too much for her and her team. Absolute stars the lot of them. M on the bar is always quick to deliver, and the bar always has a load of choice. Tea, hot choc & coffee, including the favoured mint tea, was always available; and the cake and bread were always a treat to run back for at 4.30. Followed by a quick dip in the pool. There were loads of activities to keep us going, and after 2 weeks we still find there are loads of things we didn’t get a chance to do. Activity Ben…

Hi jocockram, Thanks for the great review! So pleased to hear that Robin and Dan made you feel welcomed, the Yorkshire lads served up some amazing food, Ellie looked after you well and Becky and her team kept your room clean and tidy. Glad to hear that the mint tea was free-flowing courtesy of M and the bikes were in tip top condition thanks to Jack and his extensive knowledge. With so many activities on offer, even after a two-week stay there's still so much to try. The only solution is to come back next year! All the best, Rhianna Customer Care Team Alpine Elements

A great Hotel. Food and service was very good, The rooms were also good and well furnished with plenty of space in the boot / ski room. The staff were enthusiastic and attentive. It was easy to get to slopes with minimal fuss. Either one stop on the bus or a short walk - easily manageable in ski boots. Snowberry ski hire was also excellent.

Had a wonderful first stay at Gelinotte that was really well-managed by Alpine Elements. Fantastic service from the start with the reps being visible at the airport, simple transfer process and then great staff at the hotel. Really good afternoon tea and evening meals each day, whilst the free shuttle service was superb.

Stayed at Hotel Gelinotte with alpine elements in January. Fantastic staff always on hand for help and advice. Excellent facilities with the basement spa, Bar, and dining facilities. Rooms are comfortable. The added bonus of a lift helped with tired legs after long days skiing in an amazing resort. Food was excellent and filling. Hot chocolate, coffee, tea and cakes provided each day on return from the slopes. Recommended, I will visit again.
