We stayed week 29th March to 5th April, we were worried about previous bad reviews posted about the Hotel on this site, but can honestly say we had a great stay, the Manager Andy and his team could not have been more helpful. The facilities are very good, we were in one of the "new" rooms and were very comfortable.... More

I must admit I was a bit dubious having looked at the reviews for this hotel before leaving the UK, but was pleasantly surprised when there (March 15th -22nd). Don't get me wrong, its not perfect...but netherless a comfortable mid-range hotel run by staff who really do go out of their way to make your stay a positive experience. The... More

We stayed there last week 16th to 22nd March and we can’t help enthusing about the quality of attention and warm friendliness of all the staff at all times during our week at the hotel. The layout of the hotel is quite amazing and easy to get lost as there seems nooks and crannies and rooms and stairs in all... More

my second stay here and now the hotel boasts a fabulous pool/sauna area and new dining facilities and bedrooms it is even better. The staff are all friendly and helpful and want to please. They are also such fun! A new manager had just started and you could feel improvements to service increase as the week went on. All requests... More

There is a balance between the extremely different reviews written. Here goes:- Flight/transfer - fine. Sunday transfer brilliant as you get empty Saturday pistes - 3 times up the Grand Motte cable car without queuing once. Hotel - nicely arranged over split levels but not luxurious. Not that different from the Fjord except - en-suite toilet, bar, seating areas, mini-bus... More

A delightful cosy hotel staffed by a team who obviously get on well together and who are happy and most obliging in their work. Our room was very comfortable; for once warm but not too stuffy with plenty of hot water to indulge in the modern facilities. We stayed as a new manager, Andy, took over the reins but all went... We stayed here in March as a couple in a party of seven. The brochure had us looking forward to the trip, having been on a few ski trips this looked like a reasonable level of luxury from the website; which claimed that the place has "had a major rebuild of the bar, lounge, dining room and health Centre with... We stayed in the Hotel Gelinotte a month ago, the hotel was sub standard for a four star and to make matters worse when we wrote to complain Alpine Elements, the travel company that operate the hotel, they said they would respond in 28 days but never bothered to reply. A copy of our email of complaint is set out... More

Overall it's not that this is a bad chalet hotel, it's just a dissapointment. It's a budget chalet for budget skiing holidays which is fine. However Alpine Elements are selling it as a Premium chalet with quality food, which it certainly is not. The chalet staff were great, helpful and friendly and I really feel sorry for them having to... More

This is difficult because it is a friendly and pleasant place with nice staff who try to be helpful. But so many things about it just did not function as they should. It is not acceptable to be so hungry - to have to wait an hour and a half to be fed and then to still be hungry afterwards.... More
