We were part of a group of 21 and had a fantastic holiday at la gelinotte, val d'isere. We stayed from 9-16 March 2014. The team at the Alpine Elements were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was great and the food was delicious. We stayed in one of the new rooms, lovely room with great... More

We reserved our stay fairly last minute and for the price we paid I feel we got good value for money. The staff were super: friendly and attentive, and the food was good- better than I expected. The hotel is a little trek for the slopes, and the walk is a little arduous after a hard days skiing, but they... More

Forced to travel at half term this is a review of a £4000+ (for 2 adults 1 child) holiday that was not worth the price, if you travel at other times or get a late deal then it might be better value. We chose this place because it is in Val ....nuff said. And because it has a pool, now... More

Location - the chalet is situated on a hill about 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Val d'Isere (without skis and boots), The chalet provides a free mini bus in the morning and afternoon which must be booked the night before. The driver was helpful and flexible. Note that the coach cannot reach the chalet so it is necessary... More

One of the best hotels I've stayed at on a ski holiday. We had a large group of people in early to mid twenties. All hotel staff were very helpful and friendly throughout. We were always seated in the same area for dinner - the food was delicious and there was a choice of three for each of starter, main... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and really thought we struck lucky staying at Hotel Gelinotte. We had some reservations and concerns before we arrived as we couldn’t decide if it was a hotel or a chalet. The only chalet aspect is that guests eat out for 1 night (Thursday) to give the staff a day off. We were told that... More

First class service from staff, made to feel welcome and at home. They catered for our every need, nothing was too much trouble for them. The pool and spa area was only open at certain times, but at our request these times could be extended to suit. It was well lit, fully functional and clean. Everything you could ask for... More

We book this holiday completely last minute (booked on the sat and left early Sunday morning!). We have been on a few snow holidays and I could fault this chalet. Food was brilliant – cooked breakfast and continental in the morning and every night we had a three course meal (you have two options to choose from for each course!)... More

I have been to Val D'Isere on numerous occasions and this hotel was one of the best in terms of the quality of service and dinning experience. The location is good with only a 15 minute walk to the main lift area in Val, however you can book a slot to get driven to the slopes in the Alpine Elements... More

We had a great time on our trip, which was definitely enhanced by how charming and welcoming the staff were. The bar area is a nice place to relax with very reasonably priced drinks (1 litre of house wine for 10 euros, a bottle of good quality wine for 13 euros). Breakfast had a good range of hot options including... More
