Had a Great stay with Henry and his happy helpers in Hotel Gelinotte. The staff were genuinely friendly and the atmosphere very fun and lively. I will book with SkiPower again, hopefully later on in the season! more

This is supposedly a mid to up-market chalet-hotel rented out to ski operators in the winter. It's not in a great state of repair and not what we'd expected-we had problems with a blocked shower on the day we arrived, which took a day to get fixed. Just got back from a week in the Gelinotte. This is a great chalet to stay in. Apart from being very convieniently located close to the centre of Val, and Val being a great resort, the staff totally made the week for us. Skiing trip in the 1st week of March with a group of 8. This is a big chalet-hotel, with various other groups staying - some of whom have different standards of behaviour. Be prepared to accept this. It does feel a little cramped at mealtimes and during the rush to the slopes. They have their own bar - open 5pm-midnight.... more

party of 12 booked for first week of the ski season via ski olympic and can certainly recommend the quality of food and service. Rooms are only OK and breakfast could be better (eg fresh bread) but good value and very friendly. steep uphill walk from bus stop. more
