I agree with the majority of the other reviews here. No idea how this hotel got it's 4 stars. It is a clean but basic hotel choice. The location is very good - under 5 mins walk to the chair lifts and surrounded by restaurants and shops.... but also bars so late night noise can be a problem. We needed... More

My daughter and I recently stayed at the Alpina. We were apprehensive at first as the reviews we not great. I agree its not 4* so I didn't expect much. It was clean and big enough for 2 people. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough to help. It was cosy as it had carpets. It was... More

Great Hotel! Good value and a convenient location. The rooms were clean if not luxurious and the staff were very friendly. Not many downsides, except that the towels are not changed and the ski room is not heated so the boots are hard to put on first thing. Recommend for groups

The 4 star classification is not justified! Best thing to say about it is that its in middle of town. Half of the rooms are facing north and are relatively dark, but otherwise ok. Looks nice from the outside, but is disappointing on the inside. A very small "restaurant/lounge with breakfast and no bar or anything.

Wasn't particularly enthusiastic about staying here having read reviews but we were already committed. The accommodation is small and thankfully we were 4 in a 5 apartment. The kitchen set up is odd with a balancing act required to use toaster and coffee maker(using the 60s style sliding opening shelf from kitchen into 2nd bedroom/dining area). However the kitchen was otherwise... Alpina Lodge is located in the very center of the ski resort, it's close to restaurants, supermarkets/shops and ski slopes lifts. Apart from this, this hotel shouldn't be a 4-star. From the outside, the chalet looks really good. But it's very expensive for what it offers. The rooms are noisy, we could here the neighbors all night. We rented a... More

This place is old, dated and it shows. 7 of us stayed in an 8 bed apartment in January during the ski season. POOR QUALITY 'expensive' FURNITURE In the living room space were two bed settees made from 'solid oak'. These were of such poor quality that they buckled when we simply sat on them on 3 separate occasions (yes... More

I'm here now. It's a business trip so I haven't paid for it and I'm glad. We are two men who are little more than work colleagues being forced to share a one room apartment with a very small single bed and a bed settee. Unwisely, because it allows me to post this review during my stay, the hotel provides... More

This place is old, decaying and INCREDIBLY NOISY. There's a club literally on the ground floor and until 3AM you have guaranteed noise! Terrible furniture and very expensive, for what we paid there's obviously much better. Only good thing is the location - really central.

When I go to Val d'Isere with the family I usually take Alpina Lodge. Very well located - close to the slopes and shops in the City center. Always clean , but some common parts were not refuirbished for the long time. The Ski Room is very handy but cold so do not leave your ski shoes there! The worst... More
