I don't often write reviews but feel that I should share our stay here last week with people, largely because of the cost/ value for money.Be aware if you have not been to Val d'sere before, it is very expensive almost on a par with Courcheval with £9/£10 being the cost of starters and desserts in most restaurants. So OK... More

My partner and I stayed at Hotel Ormelune recently and it was one of the best hotel experiences ever (not a phrase used often in our travels - we're quite fussy!). The location is perfect - it’s on a quiet street, less than a minute’s walk to both the village centre and the pistes. The interiors are both very clever... More

This place was a great choice for our first trip to val d'isere and I can't think of any reason now to stay elsewhere. It's positioned perfectly beside the main lifts and with snow coverage you can ski back virtually to the front door. It's about a one minute walk to the lift. It's also in the centre of val... More

Very lively and modern hotel. The restaurant made it easy to eat on snowy nights. Right at the base of the pistes so we were able to ski right to the door. Kids had a great time as there were lots of other kids there too. Rooms were spacious. There was an old style arcade machine in the reception area... More

Stayed for 3 days with my family for pre-season skiing. The skiing was incredible - and so was the hotel stay. The entire experience was wonderful. The Hotel is 50 yards from the edge of the slope - you can ski back almost to the front door. The organization of ski equipment & lockers in the basement with elevator to... More

We come to Val d'Isere every year and stayed at this hotel's predecessor. Three years ago the tired old place got a complete overhaul and now presents well- think Scandie public spaces, bright and clean. Ths rooms are comfortable with plenty of drawers and shelves. En suite bathrooms of slate and mirrors. The breakfasts are substantial and the staff are... More

Although the outside of the hotel is not so nice, the inside is well thought of and friendly. The rooms are cosy and although I am not a fan of the look of the bathrooms (concrete) they are fine as well. The decoration is slick and works very well. Every member of the staff is helpful. The restaurant is very... More

Thank you, Hotel Ormelune - we have just returned from our 3rd year running and will be booking again next year. So this hotel is doing something right! Firstly its location is 5 minutes max from the lifts and the ski school meeting place, but also right in the centre of town; decor is funky and comfortable; staff are very... More

Reasonable hotel with good staff (all speaking english) especially helpful on unloading and loading car. Prepaid card for covered car park available. Resto reasonable but uninspiring and rather expensive. Bar silly prices but in line with the town in general. Large room with bath was reasonable size and the bathroom was a good size with a decent bath - bed... More
