I would say this is your typical Logis hotel, meaning clean and very functional. It has a mountain cosy atomsphere. What makes the difference here though are the staff. The girl on reception is utterly charming, she booked an appointment at the hairdresser and is very good with restaurant recommendations. Things to note, there is car parking. There is no... More

Spent 10 days at this comfortable hotel in a lovely room with friendly and helpful staff. We were on a package deal set menu, but the variety and quality of food was exceptional. Dinner was beautifully presented and delicious - the steak was huge! The attentive service coupled with great food and amazing views of the lake and the mountains... More

Stayed in first floor room with large terrace and partial lake view. Room was large with a comfortable queen sized bed. Bathroom was small but adequate. Rooms were not sound proofed and there was no air conditioning so it was a bit warm to sleep. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Restaurant was very good with a reasonable choice of... More

I have just returned from a week staying at the Hotel Charpenterie on a half board basis as part of a holiday package. I had a room on the top floor at the front of the hotel which has a balcony with beautiful views to the mountains. Rooms at the rear overlook the lake which is probably more desirable although... Location was wonderful, so was the view, if you had the right room (43)! The first floor lake view rooms have what amounts to a terrace, but there are only three of these rooms. The higher ones have a better uninterrupted view but tiny balconies but enough to sit on, 2 chairs only. There is no air conditioning, but not... More

This hotel has its advantages and it's disadvantages. It's location is great, 5 minutes walk to the lake. As for the rooms, some of them are better than others. Those that have a lake view are the best, and the higher up you go the better. Rooms 51 and 52 are quite nice. However, the only downside is that there... More

We stayed here a few years ago now - earlier than the August 2012 shown in this review. It was awful. I'v only now written this review as I'v only just joined Tripadvisor and used internet. What was wrong with it for us - everything but the lovely restaurant and food. The hotel people were rude and offhand, throwing the... More

Stayed here for four nights to catch stage of the TdF. Great value in a beautiful village which is fairly exclusive. Comfy bed and great terrace. The staff were very helpful and friendly as were the staff at the tourist info. Ate mostly in the local cafe a la place. Onglet and the local lake fish with almonds were Really... More

We booked one night via a discount booking service and found a reasonable rate for bed only, having checked out lots of other options. We arrived very early on the day of our stay, having planned to do a circular bike ride round the lake, and would have been allowed to access our room if available, but the previous guests had... In the wonderfully situated village of Talloires on Lake Annecy with its seriously expensive choice of fine dining, but also easy lake access to Annecy if you don't want to drive. The hotel is well furnished, the rooms are individual and we had a large lake view balcony with lounger tables and chairs - unfortunately it rained the entire stay... More
