We drove passed the hotel on our return to Geneva airport following Christmas in Courcheval and our chauffeur commented on their excellent reputation. We decided to stay their for two nights on our journey to Barcelona - what a mistake - we should have stayed for the week. An amazing location overlooking the lake. The restaurant is fine dining and... More

Lovely setting and greeted by extremely friendly staff. Very comfortable room with great bathroom (large bath, L'occitane toileteries and towelling bathrobes/slippers). Lovely big king size bed and smart TV. All excellent

It's a peacefully perfect spot amidst a spellbinding natural surrounding. Auberge Du Pere Bise's staff enhances one's ability to enjoy this magical location from start to finish. It's not to be missed!

We received a wedding gift for one night's stay with the Baie d'Argent menu for 2 people and took it in December. We were welcomed into a suite since it was the off season, all the staff were unfailingly polite and helpful. The room was spacious and nicely designed, and the location of the hotel was absolutely beautiful - such... More

My third visit to this wonderful place of paradise. Pre arrival the hotel staff was extremely helpful with my travels from Paris and also for arranging a car to meet us at the station. The drive is only 20 minutes and as you get closer you end up winding thru this great little village then you are greeted by the... More

We only went there for a mid morning coffee as we were waiting for the boat to take us round the lake. We wished we had gone elsewhere as the coffee was expensive at 18 euros for 2 SMALL cups. So when the bill came and we gasped at the price I thought I would ask for a refill as... More

This is an idyllic place. We stayed here previously about 8 years ago. It has certainly raised its game since then. The food was always very good, but it's obvious they have invested recently in updating bedrooms, public areas and grounds. We had a warm welcome at reception and were escorted to our room for a two night stay. We were... More

Facility - not kept up to be Ch. & Relais level. Restaurant - extremely poor quality, at sky high price. I cannot fathom how Michelin still give them one star. A few green olives and some peanuts as amuse bouche, so you get the idea. A deep fried ball with truffle smell was bitter and rancid oil smell. Turbot not... More

This was the best of 7 luxury hotels we stayed at during our month long holiday in Europe. The Auberge du Pere Bise is in a prime lovely location on Lake Annecy. We had a spacious suite with a large private patio overlooking the lake. Staff were excellent, room service response timely, breakfast by the lake amazing. The suite was... More

This is a very good restaurant with some great cooking (the crayfish in bisque was outstanding and memorable). It has a wonderful extensive wine list (actually a large book). However, the service is unfortunately rather casual and disorganised so that on several occasions we had to look around to find a waiter. Some courses we were told what they were,... More
