The unique location lakeside (every room has a view) combined with attentive service and excellent cuisine make this an unique, albeit not inexpensive, experience. Michelin gives Sophie Bise's cooking one star -- it deserves two. My wife and I have been going to Père Bise for over 25 years and will continue to do so as long as we can.... More

We stayed here for one night recently. The hotel we were booked into sold our prebooked room so they gave us a room at this hotel. We are already R & C members so are used to the standard one expects from R&c hotels. We arrived at 10pm having not had dinner. The reception staff were a bit snooty and... More

Revisiting this charming hotel after 35 years absence did not disappoint. And this time we were upgraded to their best room with large balcony overlooking the beautiful Lac d´Annecy. To sit here in the evenings with a top class white Rhone wine on the shore of the lake is a treat. Their restaurant is still serving delicious food, although the... More

Our expectations towards this restaurant were high as it is a chateau relais. However the experience was devastating. The service The service was really bellow average, upon asking if it would be possible to exchange something on the 6 course menu, the waiter did not even try to cater to our wish but instead was extremely unfriendly from the very... What could we respond to such an opinion? Otherwise that we will never be able to satisfy... More

The weather was perfect when we drove down from Geneve to Lac d'Annecy. Very picturesque with a deep blue sky, the lake and the cliffy rock formations where dozens of hang gliders started their flights. We received a very warm wellcome at the Auberge, Somebody did take care of our car and the Maitresse de Maisson guided us to our... More

The location as with much of this region is beautiful, and the fact you can dip your toes in the lake from the restaurant a real treat. The hotel itself is wonderful for a weekend of relaxation and romance, and the restaurant is wonderful. Great, decadent food, a wonderful sommelier and more cheese and pudding than you can imagine. Fantastic

This is the third September vacation we have spent at Auberge Du Pere Bise, and we have been thoroughly satisfied every time. The location is spectacular; the service impeccable; the staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and professional; and the food is superb. Anyone wanting the perfect lakeside holiday in the French Alps need look no further. Both Madame Bise and... More

We are travellers from Japan and stayed for 4 nights. Everything is excellent. A small dog stayed with us in the room was called "the star of the house". We will come back to this hotel if we visit this area in the future.

I first stayed at this beautiful hotel for four days in 1968 with my father when it had three stars and the old man Bise himself was still cooking. Naturally, my father paid. I have never forgotten that stay nor its poulet de bresse a l'estragon. I returned in 1981 and found the experience a disappointment, so I did not... More

Extremely comfortable hotel and bedrooms, well serviced with smiling and helpful reception. Quiet and clean. Lovely swimming and boating (rowing or pedalo)on the lake, très romantic, out of this mad world. Also try to do some paragliding! A fantastic, exciting experience running off the mountainside to hang over the lake in total silence. Bit frightened at first but a some... More
