We had the chance (!) to experiment this hotel during the incredible hot days we had during june. The rooms didn't have an air conditioning system and temperature rose up to 40 degrees. It was quite difficult to sleep… The hotel closed its activities at the end of june, no renovation is planned.

I'll start with the good. A really good location for the centre of St Etienne, that's about it. Peeling wallpaper, smelly rooms, no proper shower, pretty poor breakfast. The wifi is awful, continuously cut out. There really isn't much I can say to be positive about this place. I wouldn't stay here again.

Great location (it really is in the centre of the town). Secure parking available (underground car park directly below the hotel, you access the hotel via a lift, no need to go outside if the weather is poor!). Great buffet breakfast, lovely fresh pain au chocolat and croissants, fruit juice, tea, coffee - without doubt one of the best "continental... More

Alot of good reviews, but I didn't have a great stay. It looked like the place was under renovation. Rooms were ok, not exceptionally clean. Duct tape in the hallway holding carpets together. Tough to find the property from the car. Location was very good, near the center of St. Etienne and all the cafes in the area. Was only... More

Not that close to the train station as it said. Rooms with no air conditioner. Inside looks like dormitory not 2* hotel. To get shower you have to hold a shower head with one hand trying to wash yourself with another. Breakfast is really tiny but cafeteria is clean and has a nice balcony. This hotel is mainly for groups... More

Stayed for one night only in this hotel on business. My colleague almost refused to stay here. The rooms were extremely basic and noisy, I was next to the lift shaft in the centre of the hallway. The bathroom was very dated and a bit grotty. Had I been alone I would have felt a little vulnerable in this hotel.... More

I stayed in this hotel for one night on the 4th May 2008. I had firstly sent the hotel an email enquiry about a room and had a prompt response but later found a better deal on hotels.com [for the same hotel] The directions given were superb and I found the hotel without any fuss or bother. The hotel was... More
