Pros: Great value for the money in this truly medieval city. Nicely furnished rooms with separate bathrooms. Also a terrace available for all guests overlooking the valley to use for breakfast or maybe wine and cheese in the afternoon. Cons: Owner a little brusque, but did provide basic services and answered our questions. Also the breakfast and terrace areas are... More

Such a great little spot! The owner was beyond friendly and she was (thankfully) able to get us a room upon arrival with no reservation. I would definitely recommend booking ahead. There is a great view from the back terrace and the room was about the perfect size. We stayed in the room for 3 people and we found enough... More

Stayed here on the second night of our French tour on our motorbike. Perouges is a beautiful little medieval village and looked like a great place to stay. There had been a medieval festival the weekend we were there and when we arrived on the Sunday everything was very busy and lots of people dressed up etc.! Great atmosphere. This... More

We were three couples staying here for one night, the rooms are beautifully furnished in keeping with the historical past. The town is very busy by day with tourists but by night it is much quietier. Breakfast on the terrrace was a great way to start the day with wonderfully fresh pastries and coffee. Would definiitely recommend staying here rather... More

Friendly welcome, wonderful setting, fabulous town. A must visit for a stopover or even a longer stay, Pėrouges is a gem and the Grenier à sel is the perfect setting to base yourself. Walking around the rue des rondes in the evening, once all the tourists have gone, you feel history all around you and your host in the Grenier... More

A historical building dating back a few centuries, that was once the Salt collectors house, done up in a very authentic manner. The establishment just had 5-6 rooms. You need to park near the village entrance, as there is no place near it. Pretty authentic lookingpictures of the room are available on the hotel website, and the place lives up... More

Five delightful rooms are available at this delighful herbergement. Each en-suite bathroom is fully appointed and an excellent continental breakfast is included.: served on a patio, part of the battiments, overlooking the beautiful countryside below... Both Dijon and Lyon are close-by: this small, quaint, authentic medieval city is certainly worth visiting for a night or two. The owner of the... More

Stayed here for 1 night in July. The building dates back to 14th century with many original features. Really thick walls which kept room cool on a blisteringly hot night. Friendly welcome from Madame. Room was a good size with a well equipped modern bathroom. Tea making equipment provided. Breakfast included in price which consisted of yoghourt, fresh croissants, pain... More

This is a very interesting little B&B with part of it dating back to the 13/14th century. The rooms are small but perfectly appointed with period or period looking furniture and decor, there is still everything you would expect from a 21st century hotel despite originating from the beginning of the previous millenium. You will be greeted by the charming... More
