small little medieval village turned into hotel and restaurants.. the hotel was quaint, a little outdated but the restaurant was excellent. My teenagers really enjoyed the experience. I would recommend as a stop in the region. We stayed in a family room which slept 4. The room was a little drafty but comfortable. more
very very nice and very different....something you cannot find anywhere, sleeping in a 13th century house with period furniture, four-poster bed and all that kind of stuff all around!! Definitely to come back, of course no more than 2 nights. more

We stayed at the Ostellerie in May, 2005. Perouges itself is a well-restored and charming medieval town. We chose to stay here because it is a picturesque town that is close to Bourg-en-Bresse and the fantastic Monastery of Brou (40 minutes one way) – which we highly recommend visiting, though the rest of Bourg-en-Bresse is nothing to write home about.... more
The room we had was large and comfortable but rather basic, with three flights of stairs to be climbed, but that doesn't matter because the hotel and the village are so pleasant. This is an excellent medieval village that is justly proud of not having any external electricity wires. The restaurant is also excellent. Note the floor tiles! more
A stunning hotel full of character situated ona hilltop with beautiful views across the surrounding countryside.
