We booked a skiing holiday and unfortunately my mother was taken critically ill just prior to the commencement, she subsequently passed away while we would have been on holiday. We telephoned to change the booking to a later date, at a time which would have been at a cheaper rate, even though we were not requesting a refund for the... More

This was the 4th visit for my wife and me at Au Coin du Feu to be together with friends whom we met there 5 years ago. Yes the hotel is under new management but we found the service to be as good as under the "ancien regime". Special mention is warranted for Yannick, Anne-Cecile, and Oriane. The service is... More

We choose this hotel based on other reviews. We are not disappointed. We like the restaurant, as well as the lounge for breakfast. The breakfast costs 18€, a little expensive but no doubt the market price for Megève. The staff are very friendly. We would return.

No need to repeat all that's been said, but to put things in perspective: Management is settling in place after the acquisition from the Sibuet Group, and they're all doing their best. Staff were great, maybe a turnaround times for emails can be improved. They've already committed to increasing sound insulation in the rooms; which will be a welcome addition.... More

I think the owners of 'Au Coin du Feu' must have taken notice of some of the recent comments. Returning from the slopes, each day we found a fruit tart, cakes and waffles laid out in the lounge for those who wished to have a little something with a pot of tea (not free though). Although, a rich chocolate torte... More

I would highly recommend Au Coin du Feu. Our family enjoyed a delightful stay over the Christmas holiday. The thoughtful, personable and accommodating staff (and owner), comfortable accommodations, and excellent food made our visit memorable. Dining: The half board option is an excellent value, as the chef de cuisine is quite talented. He and his team carefully prepared excellent dishes... More

Le Coin du Feu recently changed hands and fortunately, the new owner cleverly left the hotel in its authentic decor which is typically Savoyard , and makes you feel as you have just arrived in your own chalet . He changed the restaurant not in its gorgeous surrounding but in its approach to the menu and made it a real... More

Fourth time here for skiing. There has been a change of ownership recently and some little touches have been lost. A welcoming fire and a table set out with myrtle tart on your return from the slopes has gone and so has a little charm with that. While we were there the sauna and steam rooms were not working too.... More

Beautiful place in the heart of the french alps. Wonderful little hotel with all the trimmings. Came across this from the reviews and it was just as described by others. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was great, which was included in the package The room we had was spacious on the second floor, with a balcony, and the... More

Good location only a few minutes from the center of Megeve. The hotel is designed like an alpine chalet, lots of character and antique mountain pine furniture. Our bedroom was not large but very comfortable but the bathroom was very narrow and you had to hold the shower head as there was no wall fixing, difficult to shower using one... More
