Our request for an early,(6:30am),breakfast was met with a firm no. On enquiring politely of the owner why they were unable to open the breakfast room early for our ski racing kids, I encountered a torrent of abuse - I was called an imbecile on 3 occasions and told impolitely to take my business elsewhere- a problem as we had... This is a 2 star hotel which in my opinion exceeds its rating. Rooms are simple but clean and offer ample space. Would have preferred a shower to a bath. We went half board. It is a set 4 course menu each evening. The food is wholesome, just what you need when skiing. Lovely soups. The owners are lovely, not... More

Megeve can be fairly expensive. We needed a jumping off point for a hiking trip in the Alps. The rooms we had were split between bunks and pairs of double beds. It was quite comfortable and a decent value for Megeve. Most of our time was devoted to being outside, so it was a comfortable place to settle for the... More

A group of nine of us booked two separate rooms here. One was the 'suite' and the other was an open planned two bedroom room. Both were more like youth hostel styled rooms. The bunk beds in the suite were only suitable for small adults or children, in the other the bunk beds were basic but adequate. The owners were... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel after looking at the information provided but the information written has nothing to do with what we experienced. First of all the hotel does not have spacious rooms as stated. One of the two rooms we booked was different from the other and was as spacious as a coffin. Secondly the rooms... More

Warm, cosy, helpful, fully met my expectations. I stayed for four days/three nights skiing break with my 14 year old son and the hotel was ideal - nothing grand but a simple and charming alpine hotel. I was almost put off from booking by some of the other reviews, but I needed to be near the centre of Megeve and... More

We had a very comfortable 3 nights over a long weekend, relatively cheaply for Megeve, for 3 adults sharing rooms for 5. Yes breakfast is limited, but public areas and rooms are clean if a little tired. It's 5 minutes walk from Chamois lift and surrounding bars, so sleep here, beds fine, enjoy what breakfast there is, then ski and... More

Just back from Megeve ski trip with a group of friends. Reading previous reviews we were surprised to find that the hotel was perfectly fine for us. The rooms were ok, and breakfast good with cereals, toast, ham etc. Given the fact that most other things in Megeve seemed very expensive we thought that this hotel offered decent value for... More

Having just returned from a 4 day skiing trip to Megeve, I have never felt more compelled to write a review. We were a party of 10 on an annual ski trip and I know that I speak for everyone in response to this hotel. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, if heated to a...
