We found College hotel so easy. The location is central and we enjoyed walking epecially going up to the top where the Basilica is located. Everything is within walking distance. Zero complaints. I agree with all the positive comments of other reviewers. And the price was good too!. Spend about 40-50 nights a year in hotels of all sorts and this one is very near the top. more

Take sunglasses - the rooms are WHITE. Totally white! The beds are comfortable, rooms have air-conditioning ( and if you're at the front, facing the bars over the road, you'll not be opening the windows..... ) and the bathrooms are immaculate - although the shower with no cubicle or curtain might not be to everyone's taste. We stayed 5 nights at the charming College Hotel in October 2008. I agree with all the other positive comments, and also had the pleasure of Room 22 with its private terrace. We agree with nearly all of the reviews written thus far. The hotel is a great find and -- for a city in France -- quite a bargain. No, it's not cheap, but try to find this sort of value for the money in Lyon and you'll look for a long, long time. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable.... more

We based our choice of the College hotel on viewing the hotel’s website. We arrived for our 2 night stay to find that they had booked the wrong dates on their reservation system. The hotel being fully occupied they were unable to honour their confirmed reservation for the 1st night. The reception staff were remarkably speedy in finding a room... more
