If you are looking for a reasonable (80 euros for a double room) and pleasant small hotel in the attractive vieux lyon, near beautifull monuments, many delicious restaurants, and the well known ice cream shop Nardone (not to be miss), you should try the hotel saint Paul, rue de la lainerie, 100 m from parking saint Jean ( both open... We stayed one night in Saint Paul hotel in May 2014 and this was the WORST experience I have ever had. The hotel is full of BEDBUGS and I awakened covered in blood. The director of the hotel is very well aware of the problem but does not seem to care about it. I was not even refunded for the... More

We loved this little hotel, it is beautifully placed for a weekend in Lyon. We had a lovely room on the first floor and had no noise problems. The typically french breakfast suited us perfectly and was served...a most unusual thing now. The staff are very helpful.

This small two-star hotel is in the very center of Lyon, just f few meters to walk into the famous old-town streets and to the Saint Paul station. With very friendly and welcoming service the stay was enjoyable. For two stars and the price you should not expect a luxury hotel, but the room standard is absolutely ok and they... More

If you're travelling for leisure, this hotel has a great location right in the old town, close to the restaurants and bars. It easily reached by the C3 trolleybus from Part Dieu station, and the directions the hotel sent us were easy to follow. Reception was friendly and helpful. Our room was right at the back of the hotel. This... More

We stayed here over the weekend in late September. The double room with bath was much larger than we'd expected and scrupulously clean, and the high ceilings (with exposed beams!) make it feel very spacious. The showerhead hook is low but we did find the shower went high enough to shower standing up and the bath was fantastic. We'd read... More

The Saint Paul hotel, while ideally located in the old section of Lyon, is a seriously flawed choice of a place to stay. It’s located at the beginning of a pedestrian walkway surrounded by lots of restaurant, bars, and resultant noise. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly; however the reception area is dingy and small. There is no elevator... More

Dear Guests, First of all, again, please accept our deepest apologies for all the troubles you encountered during your stay. The bedbug situation has, of course, been taken care of. As you said it yourself, this is helas a potential problem everywhere, thankfully still very rare. Let me just adress some of the troubles you noted during your stay. We... More

we stayed here because it was close to our favourite restaurants and in a great central position, but the main reason was the cheap prices. I asked for a high floor but probably not necessary as the extra thick double glazing lets no noise filter through. I loved the old building, and we had a new bathroom - although the... More

This hotel is a small 18Th century building. Therefore the rooms are full of character and very clean. The location is right in the centre of Lyon old town, about 200m to the river and main bus route. Me and my sister stayed here for two nights. It was meant to be three but we had an emergency and had... More
